    WDW Marriotts

    Hi!

I'm looking to plan a trip to WDW and was wondering if anyone knew of the marriott properties around the parks to stay? Any recommendations? Thanks!

Right now I see a fairfield inn and also a courtyard. I'm looking to stay a week in Jan 2014.

    Thanks!

There are three different ones to stay at that are near WDW. We like staying at the one on 535. It is an older one but it is not as noisy and congested as the ones near the outlet (There are three Marriott properties just there). There is also a Marriott near the Steak and Shake that is nice but does not have a pool. We did not mind that since we were there when it was cool. It did have a nice Breakfast. I wish I could be more specific on road names but I do not know them.

Marriott World Center is like a city unto itself, but also has timeshares just a shuttle ride away that are much quieter and more spacious.

Have the timeshares been updated? I stayed there about 10 years ago and they were run down. Vistana next door was much better.

The hotel itself is great but with a large convention space can be crowded and expensive or a rather good deal when not.

Royal Palms was completely redone a few years ago; not sure on Sabal Palms. Royal looks great, though. If you look up reviews you can see right where they jump from 3 to 5 star when the remodel was finished

I've narrowed it down to the Gaylord Palms (looks beautiful) and the Residence Inn near the parks.

I hate that the Gaylord property doensn't have free breakfast...though I need to see if they have refrigerators or something so I can shop to keep the prices down.

I like how Residence has a little kitchenette, free breakfast...now about free shuttles =)
