    Re: Why Cars?

Cars is one of PIXAR's lesser efforts but is also unfortunately one if it's most profitable franchises, appealing to the much sought-after young boy market and thus making it an attractive option for theme park attractions from a business standpoint.
I'm still holding out hope that we'll see an innovative new 'Incredibles' ride...

    Re: Why Cars?

Cars is(/was?) Disney's most popular franchise for young boys. At one point, it was only 2nd to Toy Story (which has 2 different rides on both coasts). Putting in Cars attractions only makes sense.
A few years ago, Disney realized they were losing interest to the 'younger boys' category, so they decided to spend millions on things like Marvel and Star Wars.

It bothers me when people selectively edit quotes to support whatever point they are trying to prove.

They probably will build a scaled-down version of Radiator Springs Racers and another Pixar ride, not just Cars Land.

    Re: Why Cars?

Looking over the past post I sense that a good number of people do not like the Car's movies. This is fine It is not at the top of my list of best Pixar movies either. But speaking as someone from the West Coast I must say that they did a great job with Car's Land at the DCA. It is a great place to just hang out in and the attractions are also a lot of fun.

    Re: Why Cars?

I love the CARS movies. I think people give it a bad rap because they expect something better out of Pixar or what have you. Unfair expectations and unfair criticism.
