Re: What things don't you like about the third version of Imagination

The concept is bland for a ride as others say. The idea of using the five senses would've made a good exhibit but doesn't really work as a ride other than a few effects. You completely skip the touch and taste labs (though the latter I can understand but couldn't they make the seats vibrate or something for the touch portion?) and the moral of using your imagine and your senses together makes no real sense neither does the upside down room. The whole idea of an imagination lab had potential but it was poorly executed in comparison to the original ride.

This. Great quote. Journey into Imagination "with Figment" is poorly executed in the way that it misses the entire purpose of the original version of Imagination.

But, looking on the bright side, what is there to like about the third version? That it isn't the second.

The "jump the shark" moment for me in this attraction is in the Sight Lab. Here you are, sitting still and watching Figment bounce around on an eye chart, waiting for some cool special effect to go off. And then you're moving on to the next "lab", and you're left thinking "That was it? A friggin' movie of a dancing dragon?" From there on it was all downhill for me.

Re: What things don't you like about the third version of Imagination

To be honest I havent been on this ride in over 20 years up until this past week and I remember the ride being much more lively than what I saw this time around. A lot of it looked like much of the space in each of the rooms was going unused or could have potentially been used for something that would have added to the atmosphere of the room in its entirety. I was a bit saddened by this but I still did have fun. I will agree that Nigel is pretty annoying in this ride and could be put somewhere else.
