We were at WDW for a total of 6 days, 5 days in the parks. We left on the 9th of September.
Our hotel: Port Orleans Riverside. We fell in love with this hotel. It was peaceful, beautiful, and just fantastic. Close to the west depot bus stop, next to the quiet pool, comfy beds, big enough room for 3 adults and all of our luggage. There was no bad view, even on the 5 minute walk to the front to refill our mugs.
Also, we were chose to test the magic bands, which we really never encountered a problem with, but then again, we didn't link our credit card info to them and from what I heard/encountered on our trip, that's where people were having problems.
We did a few rides that we hadn't done before, ate at some new places, met some new characters and even got to go to our first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!
On our first night, we decided to head over to DTD for awhile since our dinner at 'Ohana wasn't until 9:30pm.
I was really impressed with the boat ride from the hotel. Perfect view, perfect night for it.
I loved the Lego statues! They were so cool!
We kind of liked the food at 'Ohana. It was good and bad depending on how each piece of meat ended up being cooked. The noodles and dumplings were amazing, as was the pineapple-coconut bread they give you!! But, a friend had told me to get reservations right around Wishes! time because if given a window seat, you could see the fireworks from there and that they piped in the music. It was really neat to be able to see! I also like the entertainment. That guy was pretty cool and super friendly!!!
Our first day was at Hollywood studios.
Our first fastpass+ reservation was for Tower Of Terror. I still love this ride, even if my heart is beating out of my chest and my legs turn to jelly.
After using our Rock'n'rollercoaster fastpass, we headed on over to our final one of the day, Toy Story! The last time we were here, the line was over 120 minutes and fastpasses had sold out early in the day, so I was happy to be able to ride it.
We had dinner at 50's Prime Time (my mom's favorite place) and since it was her birthday week, this was her dessert! Our server didn't berate me too much for not eating my green beans but he did get a little annoying.
Can someone just give me those Ruby Slippers already? Thanks, lol.
As this is my favorite tv show, I was thrilled to see some of the costumes on display!!!
This was my first time on the refubished Star Tours as as neat as it was, I don't think I could handle it again. I almost got sick. I was green in the face and needing air before I got sick. If that ride had lasted even 10 seconds longer, I would not have made it
During the day, we decided to hop on over to Magic Kingdom for a short time. When I saw that there was a 5 minute wait for the Princesses, I jumped at the chance.
Rapunzel was really sweet!! Glad to get to meet her!
Aurora looked really bored and wasn't interacting much, even with the little kids, which surprised me.
On our way out, we ran into Mary Poppins who had no wait, so we decided to get a picture with her.
Love this view!!!
Went on over to the new Tangled area - Beautiful and very well done - but why all that work for bathrooms???? Would have been an amazing M&G area for Rapunzel and Flynn!
We headed back over for Dinner and to see Fantasmic!
We waited in line for Fantasmic! (what a massive crowd you wait in just to get into the stadium!! You can't move and when it's hot and humid outside, it's almost unbearable - and can they please fire those "entertainment" guys who do songs and such before the show? Listening to them is worse than having the Small World song stuck in your head!)
We didn't end up seeing much as my dad's back was bothering him too much to sit and stand for a time, so we left early. He has a bad back and my mom had hurt her foot (turned out to be arthritius) so that made the trip oh, so fun.
Next day: Epcot!
