Thanks for the pics TDLFAN. The new paintings look really nice. To me, they really fit in with SSE.

Aside from the wand work - which brings to mind, "what are they doing...?"

This pic also shows what the swoosh looks like on the other side of the support column.

that's not a tall enough crane to actually take the wand down...probably just some cleaning and/or painting.

This is one dream that won't come true at Disney for some of us.

Does anyone know what the purpose of the wand was anyway? I mean, it doesn't even fit in the whole idea of EPCOT. It would have fit better at the Disney Studios, not that I would wish the wand on that Park.

    Re: Spaceship Earth Changes

The purpose of the wand was ornamental during the Millenium Celebration at EPCOT... sort of a special overlay for Spaceship Earth. Originally it read "2000" on top instead of "Epcot". It's run it's course, it's beginning to look dated and run down... It needs to be taken down for good. Same for the MGM Hat.

Well...I like the hat...but agree with the Wand. I liked it for the Millennium Celebration, but 7 years is enough.

Same. I don't mind the Hat (although the Grauman is better), but the wand is awful.

How can anyone like the BAH?

Seriously, it is cheap, tacky and is INFRONT of the Chinese Theater. Imagine it in front of Cindy's Castle or Tree of Life.

C'mon folks, learn about scale and theming. It has no place there.
(OK, these responses should be fun. Lemme go get a drink ...)

Simple answer: It's called opinion. You are entitled to yours and everyone else is entitled to their's.
