    Hunger Games attraction?

Do you think this will be the next big property theme parks will want?

Do you think Disney would have interest?

    Re: Hunger Games attraction?

With guests calling to make reservations 6 months in advance at some restaurants, Disney World's hunger games are already here.

    Re: Hunger Games attraction?

Personally I love the Hunger Games books and movies but I don't see any way to turn them into a Disney appropriate attraction. I think this would even be a stretch for Uni, but they could possibly do a stunt show based on it.

I think the most likely scenario would be a independent nitch attraction. If people will pay to this, they will do anything:

Umm no.. I don't think an attraction where you are trying to kill other guests would go over too well.

I've only seen the first movie, and from what I understand the movies are more violent than the books.

Attractions can go in a lot of directions.

    Indy deals with Nazi's.
    Star Wars is about war.
    Marvel is all about fights.
Fantasyland is based on violent fairy tales.

But it's becoming a large franchise, wouldn't someone want to capitalize on it, as with the ones above and Harry Potter, Simpsons, the Hobbit, Avatar.....

Your sources are wrong.. the movies are not more violent then the books.. thats completely false.

this and none of the above sources deal with subject matter like a bunch of kids being dumped into a thunder dome and being forced to fight to the death or else everyone they know or love will be killed. not very disney subject matter. the other sources you suggested have violent subject matter that can be avoided, in hunger games you can't take the violence or 1984 esque dystopia out or else you literally have no story left.

Umm no.. I don't think an attraction where you are trying to kill other guests would go over too well.

It really is an awful franchise for Disney parks, but so is Avatar. Blue Na'vi and people having sex, epic battle and gratuitous death scenes. Yeah, neither universe is suited to Disney parks. Now... Cedar Fair or Universal? 100% on both properties.

Finally, something to replace the American Idol Experience. Guests age 12-18 can now sign up for a chance to fight to the death in front of a studio audience.
It bothers me when people selectively edit quotes to support whatever point they are trying to prove.

Not a fan of bringing this concept to any of the Disney parks, but I must say that we're all forgetting the fact that we have an attraction where pirates are at full war and selling ladies off for pirates to pillage. Not exactly the cleanest of stuff either.
