So,

today I went to Mousesurplus (http://www.mousesurplus.com), the Disney Memorabilia and Surplus shop in Orlando. They were doing an auction today.

Not sure why... but I really want the Food Rocks crew!

How much were they?

Re: Rob goes to Mousesurplus!

those are actually listed by mousesurplus on ebay (go to their website and look at their ebay store). I believe bidding on most starts at USD$1500, with some already having higher prices, and a few with higher starting prices (ie- the Peach Boys).

I think the drummer from the Refrigerator Police is going for $400 or so right now.

Here's the link to their ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/MOUSE-SURPLUS

Re: Rob goes to Mousesurplus!

I would love to go there, not that I have the money to buy anything...maybe one of these trips I'll actually tell myself it will be okay to detour from Disney parks for an hour or two and go there to look. Which highway is this off of?

And I just have to say: Holy *^! they are going full blown with the Theater in the Wild!! I wasn't expecting fully demolishing and rebuilding...for some reason I was just expecting something smaller scale...they didn't go that hardcore when enclosing Lion King theater did they?

Re: Rob goes to Mousesurplus!

from WDW, take the I-4 Freeway eastbound to the 528 Tollway eastbound. You have 1 $0.75 toll. Get off on the Orange Ave exit. 5 (Jetport Dr). Turn right off the ramp onto Jetport Drive, and then turn left on Orange Ave. You will see a sign on the left for Mousesurplus. Turn left, that is Spruce Ave. Mousesurplus will be about 1/2 mile on the left.

It is about 30 mins from WDW, and if you get a chance to meet Brian, the owner... he is one of the biggest Disney freaks I've ever met

Re: Rob goes to Mousesurplus!

I'm surprised that Mouse Surplus gets this stuff and not either Disneyauctions.com and/or Property Control.

Re: Rob goes to Mousesurplus!

WDW knows most CM's can't afford the thousands of dollars that an old AA would command at property control... and Disneyauctions only sells things that are in A+ condition. WDW knows that Mousesurplus will sell anything that is taking up space in their warehouse.

What did you buy? Did you manage to walk out with some little trinket?

Re: Rob goes to Mousesurplus!

I'd sure love to be able to buy some of that stuff. Not that I'm a big fan of Food Rocks or anything, but just the idea that the one and only Pita Gabriel, seen by millions of fans around the world, might one day be sitting in a place of honor in my house - that would be just so freakin' cool!
