Ah yes. I love the CGing of the characters for the most part, because Donald looks great and the broom sequence is perfectly timed and the Lion King characters look great, but Aladdin and Tinkerbell (Pan didn't look too bad) just look all wrong. Odd that Jasmine looks fair enough, but Aladdin's face seems rather blank.

Ariel seems alright, but the queue goes right past a big 2D artwork poster of her that makes the transition all jarring.

    A simulator? (urp)

Now you suddently got me thinking about an Aladdin-themed Soarin' though. Agrabah, Cave of Wonders, etc. But sadly Soarin' mechanicals require a massive show building.

I've long thought that some sort of dark ride/motion simulator/3-D hybrid themed to Aladdin and the flying carpet would be an amazing attraction. The Aladdin sequence in PhilharMagic cemented this belief.

I want to echo Kuzcochik. I loved Muppetvision and thought NOTHING could ever top that.

    Now Philharmagic is my favorite.

    Donald Duck is a riot.

Philharmagic is the best of those, but I love Tough to be a Bug and Muppetvission as well.

Definitely the Muppets... yet there's times I think the pre-show is actually funnier than the actual show!

Ooo it was a tough call between Muppets and Philharmagic, but in the end Muppets will always triumph. It's just so great!

Re: What's your favorite WDW 3-D Attraction?

I chose MuppetVision because I still see something different in it each time I see it. It's a really fun film.

I almost chose "Magic Journeys" but I only have vague memories of it. My first trip to EPCOT Center was during Christmas week of 1985. I was 14 years old and was there with my high school's marching band. I recall standing online to see this film for well over an hour.

It was my first 3-D movie and I was blown away by it. All I remember of it now is a blond headed kid running through a field of tall grass chasing bubbles, and a circus performer on stilts.

Did this film have a story or was it just a bunch of random images set to a cheesy Sherman Bros. song?

Definitely PhilharMagic!! It's the only place that has the one thing that most Disney fans remember, the SONGS! (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

I like the songs, although much of how they're used here allows them to just copy and paste the audio track from the movies with whoever is the voice of Donald now tracked over it.

Not that I'm complaining TOO hard mind you, but Wishes probably makes more creative use of the songs than PHM does.

How are they used in Wishes? (I haven't had the pleasure of going yet) Do they use the title song from the Wishes soundtrack as well?

Re: What's your favorite WDW 3-D Attraction?

Well, Wishes syncs the music to fireworks, naturally. Also, it tends to use different, more orchestral-sounding versions of the music a lot of the time, while Philharmagic basically just copies and pastes the soundtrack from the film, vocals and all.

Wishes also uses voice clips from Aladdin and the like, but you're less likely to recognize that the only "new" voicework there is Jimminy Cricket. While on your next trip to Philharmagic you'll notice that it's mostly Donald talking over old recordings of Ariel and prepubescant JTT. Well, hopefully you won't. I'm just saying it is.

Bug and PhilHarmagic are the only two that I'm absolutely crazy about. It's "tough to beat Bug" dur to it's ultra cool, seamless integration of 3-D CG, animatronics, and in-theatre interactive effects.

I have never seen Philharmagic, but I love Muppet Vision. The preshow is hilarious and the show is very entertaining after numerous viewings (the old guys in the balcony are the best).
