well DL i still love u!! LOL
If you vote for Magic Kingdom, you seriously need to back it up with a post...
And if it's just because it's the only Magic Kingdom style park you've been in, then I'm not sure you truly have a good idea of what parks are better... So before you vote, check out some park maps of Disneyland Park and Tokyo Disneyland Park. You might be amazed.
BTW, I voted for Disneyland Park. Why? Well, I have to admit although Tokyo is more amazing in parts, there is just something about the Disneyland Railroad that I love. Not to mention New Orleans Square is much better done in Disneyland Park than in Tokyo. lol
Lol, wow it seems Disneyland is the winner, also in the 'DISNEYLAND' section..lol
I'm not voting, because I'm really not in a position to say (it's been all WDW my whole life, with one trip to DL 15 years ago). But it's clear that almost everyone who is a seasoned pro with the parks favors Disneyland Anaheim or Tokyo Disneyland. And I can respect that.
But my question is this, wasn't the Magic Kingdom (WDW) supposed to be the best one? It had the best land to start with, and they could build it however they wanted with no limitations. It's a much bigger park than Anaheim. So what happened? Why is it generally accepted as a far inferior park? Is it just the current maintenance and upkeep? Is it the way it was laid out at the very beginning? I'd really be interested to hear folks offer their thoughts on this.

^I think it's because of the incredible history Disneyland park has. WDW is nice, but Disneyland has New Orleans Square and a quainter, more loveable Main Street- just my thought though lol
My favorite Magic Kingdom-style park is the Magic Kingdom. Why for? I have the same feeling towards it as I have towards my hometown. Although other MKs might be prettier, it is in a figurative sense my home park.
Now if the question asked which is the best looking Magic Kingdom, I'd have a different response. From everything that I've seen and heard, I would definitely go with Disneyland Paris. I have yet to hear something bad about the look of this park.

While my hometown park is/was WDW, I voted for DL. More stuff-to-do per hectare.
I would have to say Disneyland, but I have only been to Magic Kingdom and Disneyland.
My biggest problem with Magic Kingdom is the size of the entire Resort. When Walt was planning Disney World the only park was what is today the Magic Kingdom. Everything revolved around EPCOT. But with EPCOT Center opening on EPCOT's site so far from the Magic Kingdom everything started getting spread around. At Disneyland if something was going to be added it had to be done in Disneyland. At Disney World if something is going to be added there is nothing restricted the attraction to the Magic Kingdom.Originally Posted by Doopey1
Disneyland's only flaw is that it is too small and cramped. After spending so much time at WDW it was wierd going back to Disneyland this past summer after getting used to all the wide open areas in the florida park. However Disneyland still has the superior attraction roster though.
I did not vote because I have not been to all the parks. I just wish that Disney would stop cloning! It is getter ridiculous. Soon there will be a version of Disneyland in every country in the world.
Soon it just gets to be redundant, a castle, a Space Mountain, a Jungle Cruise, and a Haunted Mansion. Come on! Can't there be some creativity out there!
If Walt Disney was around today, I am sure that there would not be so many versions of basically the same place. The Mona Lisa was special. After you see her Xeroxed a million times, she really is not that great!

Love Disneyland and Walt Disney World!
Keep in mind though that although they are clones to you, many of the people who live in these areas of the world have never been to a Disney theme park before. So although parks like HKDL aren't likely to get a huge tourist fanbase, the people of that country who have never been to a Magic Kingdom before will treat HKDL like something brand new.

Well Walt wanted EPCOT. Magic Kingdom was to help secure funding as it was a proven hit.
I think the constant building of Magic Kingdom's is becoming a problem. I have no issue with other Disney properties. I just think the whole thing needs a heirarchy, not trying to make everywhere Disney World. Something like:
1. Walt Disney World Resort - Flagship Resort. Four parks are fine for now, maybe a fifth way down the line.
2. Disneyland Resorts. - One Magic Kingdom, One Second Gate. Maybe a third if extremely popular. Probably only build two more at most.
3. Regional Resorts. - No Magic Kingdom. One Park, two if extremely popular. Think Disney's America.
4. Vacation Destinations. - Other properties that could lack the constant "Disney's" moniker. Like the Mineral King(?) Ski Resort.
This is generally a DISNEYLAND board, so Disneyland Anaheim always wins these things hands down.
^I disagree...we all go into different boards
