![]() | Favorite WDW Memory? Howdy all, What is your favorite WDW memory? Mine is what inspired me to be a cast member. My brother has downs syndrome and loves most Disney characters. Several years ago we flew out to DL for a christmas vacation and had a blast. At one point, my whole family and I lined up along the main street parade route for the Christmas parade and once the parade started it was amazing. Every character and entertainer that saw my brother came over and danced with him, or hugged him or kissed him...it was AWESOME! For the first time in his life, my brother was not different, he was special. That was when I decided I wanted to be a cast member, so I could make people feel the same way they made my brother feel that day. Feel free to share!!! Duck! |

| Celebratin'... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What a wonderful story Duck. ![]() My favorite memory is sitting on a bridge in France, eating pastries, drinking margaritas, waiting for Illuminations. Then, Illuminations itself. It was the perfect end to the most perfect day spent at a Disney park.

![]() | My fav Memory was getting to sing in the Candlelight Processional inEpcot two years in a row! I love to sing and being in that choir was SO AWE INSPIRING!!!!! I have never heard a sound like that. I sang so hard and poured my heart out SO much on that stage that I was physically worn out from singing. I lost my voice after that for the next two days!

![]() | My favorite memory was lat year.. Feb the marching band got to perform down main sterr. (though i wanted night time aprade.. we got the 3:00 one..) It was fantastic to go next to POTC.. and go backstage.. warm up my invisable drum (we were short a few due to large drum line and i am in pit..) and get lined up.. while seeing the parade floats preped for driving.. (mind you this was shortly after the accident.. so there were strict guidelines how close we could get.. and how we had to go 30 min before the parade...) It was great marching in a band having everyone from all over the world cheer on us.. playing our cheasy music... Best of all i got to see backstage... (and those keel boats were back there in a jetison of the river near the backstage service road....) |

![]() | It's a tough call, but I'd have to put my favorite DisneyWorld memory as the great practical joke we played on a friend during a frenzied day at Epcot. Six of us were down in Florida having one of the most fantastic DisneyWorld trips I have ever taken. One of my pals, whom I'll call "Jim," was scheduled to have a cyst removed from his head soon after returning home from Orlando. His favorite attraction in the whole wide world was Horizons .... so at one point while 3 of our pals distracted and delayed him, me and another friend - who was a professional sign maker - raced over to Horizons and hastily installed a small sign in the queue which read "This is a turbulent and thrilling ride through the Future. Pregnant women, persons with back conditions or cysts on their head WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RIDE." We quickly rejoined our group, and all of us headed for Horizons. Jim was so excited about his first journey in over a year on his favorite ride that he almost breezed right by the sign. We had to stop him and call his attention to it. He didn't seem to get the joke, so we told him that we thought the sign was so appropriate for him that he should have it - whereupon we proceeded to tear it off the wall and we tried to give it to him. Jim sort of freaked about this. He would not take the sign from us, and was aghast that we had vandalized Disney property. I thought Jim was being pretty thick, but it was even worse than I imagined. After the ride, we found out that Jim spent his entire time traveling through Horizons wondering which was the part that was dangerous to people with cysts on their head!!! This had us all literally rolling in laughter. Our practical joke played out better than we could ever have hoped for. Never for second did we predict that Jim would think the sign was real. I mean, how could he? (well, a hint is in the first italicized word of this post, but even then .... Jim was a pretty confused man that day.) |

| Hooray for beer! MiceChat Moderator ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ISM that is TOO FUNNY! Mine would have to be 1. When my youngest(HUGE Peter Pan fan) was waiting in line to meet Peter Pan and the whole time he was saying "I'm going to tell Peter he's the best and show him my hat and show him my pin" on and on and on and we get up there and he was silent with his mouth wide open in shock. It was tooo cute! 2. My favorite with my oldest was when we rode RNRc the first time he was sooooo excited!!He got off the ride bouncing and couldn't stop talking about how awesome it was! 3. When they both got their hair cut on Main Street! They LOVED it and they looked soo cute! |

| Celebratin'... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Can I be a total geek and say that one of my favorite memories was taking in the Magic Kingdom? Studying the differences, in awe of the scale. It was surreal to be someplace I thought I had been to before, even thoguh I hadn't.

![]() | HAHAHA ISM you have the best stories. My favorite would be when I was little we went to Disney World for Mickey's 60th birthday celebration... I seriously thought that we just happened to be there on the exact day of Mickey's birthday! I remember Birthdayland and the giant cake with the characters dancing on it, and the special train ride. I think it might even be my first memory from Disney World. |
