    Question Star Wars Weekends 2006

Has the lineup of who will be making appearances for the panel discussions and whatnot been announced yet? Just curious because I haven't seen anything posted anywhere.

I'm going to FINALLY make it to this thing this year!

My favorite SW weekend memory was Stormtroopers patrolling the roofs over the park entrance and commenting on the crowd below - "These aren't the guests we're looking for." etc

Anyone going to volunteer for a trip report at this early stage?

"I'm gettin' kind of fond of you, kid.
Not that I want to pick out curtains or anything."

It's crazy! Yes, it's only at the Disney-MGM Studios for a few weekends in the Spring. I'm not sure of the exact dates but I'm sure Bill or someone would be more than happy to share.

Just you wait.. Super Soap is in the fall. You'll be happy you're backstage. Now that's and event at Disney!!!

There's also EPSN The Weekend that was just a few weeks ago.

    Re: Star Wars Weekends 2006

I went for Star Wars Weekends (finally) last year, it was great! I am a huge SW fan (though I didn't get my Darth Vader photo ). Everything is just energized and fun. Stormtroopers and clone troopers walking around, Vader popping up places. Even Millionaire is fun, its all Star Wars, combined with an in show story! I hopefully can make it back (possibly for the opening weekend!)...last year I caught it because they extended it into June due to popularity!

And I'm not a sports fan, but ESPN The Weekend was not as fun. It didn't seem to have that same energy. Yeah there were displays, shows filming...but nothing like adults in costume and kids dressed like Darth Maul and Obi-Wan.

If you do go, the earlier weekends still have some of the cool merch...unlike the ending ones...

Thanks for sharing that. I have no idea about ESPN the weekend. I guess next year they'll need more characters and althetes? And yes, I've heard about the characters. I want to meet Darth Tater!!! Did you see him?

Oh, you don't want to know. It's a weekend where fans of ABC Soap Operas get to meet and greet with their favorite Soap stars. And let's just say that it gets a little crazy and tends to bring in a different group that Disney doesn't usually attract. My advice is to just hide backstage and you will be okay.

When I was with WDW in entertainment. I worked star wars weekends as the stormtroopers on the roof, that was FUN! Plus I got to do a show with peter mayhew (chewey) and anthony daniels (c-3 PO) I have pictures but i do not have scanner so i could post them. But good times let me tall ya!

They SO need to get Ewan McGregor for a panel discussion or meet & greet... so I can kidnap him and turn him to the Dark Side.

    MUWAHAHAHAHA!!!

    Ummm.... *ahem*.
