I think that it was the 1930 movie version. I remeber the Scarecrow, Tinman and the lion. I went in 1990, saw them in a commerial for MGM during Let Make a Deal remake. I was in a test run.

Chipmunks and Piglet don't bother me. A five foot Kermit, and a huge Jiminy Cricket are wierd thought.

I seem to recall Barbie and Ken wandering around the parks in the late 80's/early 90's. I think it had something to do with a toy agreement with Mattel at the time.

I think they even showed up on the Very Merry Christmas Parade TV special one year.

Yes, you can find the Power Rangers on the Streets of America. Although us older kids might not agree the kids love them there! So, after seeing SO many kids get excited over them and how popular they are... I don't mind.

The Muppets are technically there too ast Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Sweetums can be found on parade route.

Star Wars characters are also around as Luke, the Princess, R2D2, and Darth Vader can often be found on the parade route. Although more characters, including Storm Troopers can be found - especially during Star Wars Weekends.

Although they aren't exactly Disney "characters," but instead Disney Channel characters, Playhouse Disney characters such as Jojo & Goliath, Stanley, etc. can be found and of course, the newly added Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable face characters.

I heard the Emperor with his red guards are a total riot. And I head the Anakin face character they had last year was a dead-ringer for Hayden Christansen. I hope he's back this year as the real Hayden is some nice eye candy (though I'll take Ewan any day).

I like the original Power Rangers that came out when I was little... I wish that they owned them back then. The new ones are horrible.

    Have you faced the Yeti?

Actually, each power ranger is from each diffrent version of the show.... So they are not all SPD (dont ask me what show each one is from, as I could not tell you).

And not only Playhouse Disney, Back in Decemberish they started to bring out the characters from Baby Einstein.
Thank You for dropping by my post. I do hope you enjoyed your stay....

here I am hitting reply to correct you (I know... how dare that thought come into my head.....) and then I realized that there is a newer version the SPD....

anyways..... also if you want to count the streetmosphere characters..... they walk around freely on sunset and hollywood. And if you would like, they do not mind signing autographs and posing for photos. Now I wish I had my photo taken with a few of them.....

Re: Non-Disney Characters Seen Inside the Disney-MGM Studios Park?

Until this most recent trip, I never understood just how much enjoyment can be found in streetmosphere. It's been a LONG time since I was at a Disney alone, without family in tow and everyone thinking what the next five rides they want to see are.

Sadly, I don't think I ever saw any streetmosphere at MGM, just character meet and greets. It was all at MK or DAK, when I think about it.
