Okay, I'm starting a new thing, the Bill Q&A Series. It's simple. Every week I'll choose an attraction or something at Disney, and you can ask any question about it you like, kind of like an "Ask Dave Smith" thing, except I'm choosing the topics, and you have to relate to the topic. This week is on Everest.

You can ask anything about Everest. Why it is pink at night, why the steam was down for so long, why the mist isn't working, why the Yeti has a B mode, or even why there is only a small area of the line queue that is air-conditioned. And I'll give you a response to the best of my knowledge. Some questions will require research on my part, but that's fine. And please, if you actually know the answer to someone else's question, please chime in. But make sure you actually KNOW the answer. This is not for the PR answer, this is not for the "I heard" answer. This is for the one and only real answer.

Will they ever cover up the cracks on either side of the track in the dark tunnel inside the mountain?? As it is right now, you can see a lot fo the empty insides of the mountain and it destroys the show experience.

Why not just e-mail Dave? It might take a few days to get back to you but he will do his best to answer anything he can. Yes his info is "Disney" but it will be the answer from the GR/PR department.

Bill I know you go to the parks a lot and know some CM's but wouldn't the answer you get from them but "what they have heard"? Do you have a line to get the info that no one else can get?

I have two questions

1)When they were deciding on a major attraction to greenlight for DAK..what were some of the other attractions in the running aside from Expedition Everest?

2) Was there any truth to the rumor that before they decided on Everest..they were going to do a Reign of Fire Mountain Coaster assuming the movie was a sucess (which it wasnt) ?
