No, they do not have 1 hour shopping passes at Walt Disney World. In order to enter a park, you must have a ticket. 90% of the merchandise sold within the parks (with the exception of Epcot) can be found at World of Disney in Downtown Disney.

I checked with Disneyland, and they do not offer any such pass either. They never heard of such a thing

I believe that it is not a very practical idea, because of the size of Disney World, in comparison to the size of Disneyland.

I don't see how that could even work, even at disneyland. Once you got inside the park how would they be able to make sure you left after an hour? Do you have to leave personal belongings with them or something?

The way I heard it, they give you a pass, take your credit card number... if you don't return by time up, they charge your card full price.

Surprised they never heard of it... I've heard of people doing it at DL.

you are correct--you give your cc, if not back in an hour you are charged 1 days admission...i was looking specifically at shopping at DAK. I have an AP here for DL, so it does not make a difference, but I wanted to get something at one of the parks there.

I've heard of it even happening for dining purposes. Not sure about the particulars, though.

I don't know about for DL, but because of the number of high-class restraunts at Epcot, Epcot does have a special dining pass. Since Disney-MGM has some higher restraunts, too (Brown Derby, mainly), they might have something, too.

They used to do that exactly...give a credit card get an hour to shop...I believe WDW's was 2 hours though...
Can't say they still do it for sure though.

This is a great idea...but you really have to know what you are after with only an hours time (and be quick about it also!)

UPDATE---so i just came back today...when I got there I called the park and they said they don't do that and never heard of that. i stayed at the coronado springs and said never heard of it either,,,figured i would head on over to the park...and sure enough they would do it for me...they search to see if you have ever done it before. then they ask what your buying. i was back at the entrance in about 55 minutes and even was able to squeeze in 2 rides...it was quite enjoyable

Hey, if your conscience is fine with sneaking on rides w/o paying, more power to you. I wouldn't be okay with doing that, myself. I'd feel in some way responsible for the cost of a one-day ticket to the parks going up 20% in the last couple years...

/\ Did you have to make sure you bought what you told them you were looking for?
