Epcot - Unknown facts? Know any?

Okay, I know I've been there a million times but as anyone knows there is something new and things you don't see at every park. So my question for you all is, know any secrets about Epcot? Special corners of the world, interesting facts, things do while I'm there that I just shouldn't miss.

    Spill people!

If they're unknown, how could anybody know them?

Ok... here's a fact: The weird small-world rejects of World Showcase and Gay-Pride Astronaut Fab-Five of Future World back in early Epcot were VERY scary.

The Spaceship Earth gutter system channels water away from the sides so that when it's raining, guests never get dripped on from water running down the structure.

Here are some of the things I know about Epcot:

-In the line at Maelstrom, you can see a viking wearing Mickey Mouse ears.

-Figment was originaly green, but changed because the sponsor (Kodak) didn't like that he was the color of Fuji film's logo.

-Inside Journey Into Imagination one of the doors reads "Computer Room" outside the door sit a pair of tennis shoes; a reference to the Disney film "The Computer Who Wore Tennis Shoes."

I have no idea how it works, I just learn that on an Epcot tour a couple of years ago.

According the Living Seas Pavilion, Spaceship Earth can fit completely into the aquarium in there.

I know Pal Mickey gives us a lot of trivia, but I cannot recall it at the moment.

-Spaceship Earth's "runoff" water is actually channeled into World Showcase lagoon.

-There are Utilidors under Communicore (now Innoventions), and the main EPCOT computer control center is under there.

-The Door "Dean Finder" is a reference to Dreamfinder.

-Germany was to originally have had a boat ride...the area where the counter service eatery "Sommerfest" is would have been the start of the queue. The building is built.

-Japan was originally to have held a copy of TDL's Meet the World.

-Italy's Gondolas were not originally going to be displays...another planned ride.

-There is another waterbridge behind EPCOT, the tunnel underneath goes to CM areas backstage and I believe CM bus stops.

-Both Russia and Costa Rica were planned WS Pavillions.

-EPCOT's monorail was planned for an expansion to MGM, footers were placed in the ground...and they sunk.

-Spaceship Earth is not actually a perfect sphere.

As I understand it, there are actually small spaces between the tiles. The water is channelled into them, and from there into a flume that goes underground and empties into the World Showcase Lagoon.

It's funny you should say this because I have a really old Epcot guide book that in the back had previews for two countries that were not built, but they were Africa and Spain (I think, I haven't looked at this book in while). I'll see if I can dig it up so I can post it here.

Re: Epcot - Unknown facts? Know any?

Africa and Spain were rumored too. But I went for lesser known ones I guess. Africa was partially built (Outpost) but the only sponsor Disney could ever get for it after the park opened were (supposedly) South African companies and at the time South Africa was still a political hotspot with racism/slavery issues. Disney opted to not go with them.
/\ I guess that is another fact. Lol.
