First WDW Trip in 10 years........HELP!!!!!!!

AKL is great. Really liked the pool. Boma is a really nice restaurant, plus I liked the menu...a fun and creative take on African-fare. But if you do stay at AKL...you will want to have a car. AKL is far from everything except AK. The buses are good, but a car will make your days better.

since I will be having a car with me (since im driving there from CA lol), if I was to drive myself to each of the parks, how is the parking situation? are there parking lots close to each park? whats the cost to park my car in a lot for a day?

I believe its $9/day to park at a park. The parking lots are all right next to the parks with tram service to get you to the gates.

If you stay on-site.. parking at the parks is free.

thanks flynn! one more question, if you can help id appriciate it. if i decide to park hop, and have already paid to park in say the MK lot, am I allowed to leave the park, get in my car, drive to Epcot or one of the other parks, would i have to pay for parking again? or is it pay once, park in any lot for that day?

I stayed at the Wilderness and thought it was great. Though some other hotels are closer to the parks so you can walk. Dont miss the fireworks or Rockin Roller Coaster. Yeah I think you only pay once a day I think thats how it was a couple of years ago. Though I would reccomend the magical express and then taking Disney transportation around.

I'll be staying on property (Saratoga Springs) & was planning on using the buses to get around. However, after reading the Unofficial Guide, I'm unsure if I should rely on the buses and I'm now wondering if I should rent a car. Any thoughts?

Having a car is a much faster way to get around. It also allows you to go off WDW are see other things in the area.

Personally I found the information in the Unoffical Guide very handy. Their guides do work.
