    AP Question

So I'm considering buying an AP for WDW. I was wondering how long after purchasing I have to get the pass made if I choose the Will Call Pickup option? And when does the time start, when the pass is purchased or when it is made? Thanks a bunch.

Good questions... I would call the passholder number and ask them directly... (407) 560-PASS

I know typically the pass now starts the day it is purchased. When we used to renew our APs we could renew in June...and start counting them in August when we went. Now if we renew in June they start in June, even if I use it for the first time in July.

Oh..Well I guess I'll call and get an official answer. If worse comes to worse I head to the TTC while my parents run to Shades of Green for their tickets.

    Re: AP Question

I'm fairly certain that when you renew them they start right away. That's the difference in renewing a pass and purchasing one. If you buy the pass, it doesn't start till you activate it. Now I'm not sure if there's some time limit on when you have to activate it by. As I'm fairly certain I couldn't buy one now and wait to activate it ten years down the road to save money on my disney experience then as they'll be twice as expensive by then probably.

Well, technically there are no limits... with magic your way someone in Guest Relations could sell you a 999,999 day pass if they wanted to... but they're not allowed to do it. But they could. lol As far as renewal practices... yes, the date they are supposed to use is the original purchase date. But if you get someone nice, they can extend it for you.
