La Nouba Overlooked?

I did a search on the boards and was very surprised that there is a complete lack of mentioning of the Cirque Du Soleil show La Nouba which is resident in Downtown Disney.

Is it because it isn't a Disney production that no-one talks about it or is there another reason?

I'm a Cirque Du Soleil nut myself, have seen shows in Las Vegas and every show that has toured to the UK and I can easily say that La Nouba at WDW is the best Cirque Du Soleil show I have ever seen. Quidam is still my favourite soundtrack to a show, but for overall amazement La Nouba takes the prize.

This should be a staple part of any visit to WDW and I'm curious as to whether those who are going to the parks soon have booked tickets or those who go to the park have ever bothered with the show. To me it was a hugely magical show that really tied in well with the spirit of Disney; I was sitting next to a couple of Cirque virgins and they were in awe by the end.

I wanted to go, but just didn't have the money. To me the park experience comes first and with the money it cost to go see all 4 of them plus hotel, et al... I just couldn't afford the tickets to this as well. I hope to catch it one day though.

I bought the DVD... the tickets are just way too expensive when you're already paying too much for pleanty of other stuff elsewhere.

I've seen it a couple times, but it's certainly not something I need to see every visit...it's neat, but pricey.

I've only seen it once, and I really enjoyed it, but as others here have said, it's another cost that I don't really need to factor in right now. I'm sure I'll see it again some day (after I graduate and have money ).

When I asked about it they said that the tickets were $85 a piece.
The price might be higher now.

That was a little too high for me. Beleive me, Disney was pushing the show when I was there. They asked me several times if I was interested.

I think they were either $80 or $100 depending on seats. Have to admit I didn't even really look at the ticket prices I just stuck in my credit card details, there was no way I wasn't seeing the show (last time I got to Downtown Disney in 1999 I found out the show wasn't starting for a further month).

Compared to the Vegas shows, La Nouba is cheap as they will cost you up to $150

I'd love to see it again, I have the DVD but you have to see Cirque shows a few times so you can watch the people in the background and not just the main performers

I havn't seen it yet.. maybe one day.. before it goes away..
(WDW needs a broadway theater on property.. lol that would get more locals with traveling shows or move a show from New York to there for the tourists..)
