Attacked by a Storm trooper

Pictures = good.

Stormtroopers = evil. Literally.

So I went to Disneyworld fot the star wars weekend, and I was excited because of all the pictures, until I got mishandled by a Storm trooper.

So I took the first picture with Darth, really excited because I bought a lightsaber for myself. It's green was green, because green rocks.

Anyways, the second picture was with my friend, and I was pretending to protect her. Well Darth sent a Storm trooper to get me out of the room. He grabbed my arm, and being mute I couldn't tell him to let go. So when I tried to push him off me, I got yelled at by the cast member.

Did I mention that I'm handicapped and that I was manhandled?

And that all I got out of it was a free water?

Yeah that sucked butt! ... but look at the pictures!

The pictures are great, though! I would love to go during the Star Wars Weekend...a picture with Jedi Mickey would be worth it!!

This is not a funny situation. I would have requested to speak with a manager on the spot and also, I would have filed a formal complaint with Guest Relations. When physical interaction occurs, it then becomes a legal matter. NO ONE has the right to touch you, not even Security at WDW.

No CM does but I'd disagree with that last spot. If security feels you are a threat, danger or issue they have the right to touch you. It is private security on private property. No different from security in a building, airport, casino, government center...any of those. They can touch you to escort you to police or off thier property.

As far as I know, Security has no right touching a guest because they do not have the right to arrest you. You can be escorted to the exit but not touch you or else, it may open a can of legality issues. This is how it was explained to us several months ago by a lawyer who posts on another Disney fan site, when a similar topic came up.

TDLFAN is right. They have the right to walk you to the door and if you don't comply, call Johnny Law and have them deal with you.

Although the title of this thread is confusing because I honestly didn't know whether to take it figuratively or literally. Until TDLFAN started talking about WDW Security, I thought the OP literally meant one of the figures in white plastic.

I believe she was talking about a CM in Stormtrooper costume, as they do walk around during Star Wars Weekends. I however was talking about the real Security cast force at WDW.

I don't think Entertainment Characters are allowed to put their hands on you. Security isn't either, but Characters receive a ton of training reminding them not to grab onto guests, or hold people's kids, etc.

Besides, visibility must be terrible in one of those things.

Great photos. Sorry to hear about the stormtrooper. Sometimes they really get into the roll. I don't think the trooper meant to hurt you in any way. I'm sure he didn't realize your handicap. I know that's no excuse but you can always say something to management.

Disney security DOES have some policing rights, such as issuing speeding and parking tickets. So as for touching someone, I'd have to wonder.
