WDW in 2009 - What will it be like?

Looking like our next trip to WDW will be in 2009. Hopefully sooner, but not likely. Anyway, let's assume 2009.

What do you think WDW will be like in 2009? What rides and attractions will still be there? Which ones won't? Will there be a 5th park?

Go into as much or as little detail as you like. WDW is a huge place!

Well I don't know about WDW as a whole, I expect it will be cleaner (someone in management may have finally noticed by then) - but I know the UK Pavilion at Epcot will be the best place in the whole of WDW to be. Why?

    Cos I'll be working there!

lets' see. Doubt there will be a 5th park by that point, we'd be hearing rumors by now if there was to be one. There will probably be some new/refurbished attractions by then, if you include the ones that we know are in the works (like Nemo at living Seas). I expect that there will be another round of attractions before 2009 (meaning that each park will probably have at least one new thing that it doesn't have today). DOwntown DIsney should have its T-rex Restaurant by then. BUt its all conjecture on my part.

If there was to be a fifth park opened by 2009, then they better get to crackin' on it already.

It would seem likely that they finish the other side of Pop Century and make it DVC. I also hope that by that point Space Mountain's new track is nearly ready for visitors. The TTA would be closed for the deconstruction and most of the rebuilding of course, but it would be neat if they let them come through again once the heavy moving is over and they're just testing effects, for those of us who enjoy watching a project be brought to life.

I agree it would be cool, but Disney wouldn't let such a large amount of tourists see behind-the-scenes of an attraction which will be expected to re-launch the Magic Kingdom in some massive promotional bombing.

Have you got the job already, didn't think they recruited that far in advance, they didn't when i worked there. The whole recruitment process from my original letter of enquiry to getting on a plane was about 4 months.

Or are you just saying it in an optimistic way?
