Question MGM: What happened to Jim Henson, Burr Tillstrom and Mister Rogers?

The photo above is from Feb 2002. Its the wall behind the Emmy Hall of Fame area near Sounds Dangerous at Disney MGM studios.

The paintings of Jim Henson, Mister Rogers and Burr Tillstrom (Kukla, Fran and Ollie) were not there last weekend.

Does anyone know if they are gone for good?

Just removing some stuff before they implode the building...

I've only begun coming the parks regularly in the past couple of years but that is the first time I've ever seen portraits like that. I thought that area was only for busts.

I noticed the portraits a few times. I am a big fan of all three of them and was very happy to see them there. In fact, I think they were there in 2005, but I don't have any photos to back that up.

In addition to these 3 portraits they have a handful of plaques. I looked for one honoring Jim, Burr and Fred, but found none. It seems odd that they got such a big honor and now have NONE.

Perhaps they just felt the area looked cluttered.

An answer to my poorly titled post, sure.

However, Burr died 4 years before the park opened, Jim a year after, so Fred was the only one to pass since the photo was taken.

I always thought it was great to have a tribute to three of the most influential people in children's television as well as 3 of the 5 most famous puppeteers I can think of (Senor Wences and Edgar Bergen being the other 2.)

My snarky answer aside, I loved Kukla, Fran, and Ollie as a kid.
