Yep. Im planning to see the movie at Downtown Disney and go on the new version of the ride on opening weekend. Not sure which to do first though!

If you can toletate the lines for the ride go see the ride. Movies premier all the time and are gone. Ride priemer only once.

apparently the attraction will be opening this Saturday for soft openings all next week, etc., so if I don't ride it by Friday... then maybe I'll see the movie in the afternoon (hopefully it will be less crowded) and then set sail on the best Disney attraction ever in the evening...

wish i was there to do so, but remember you can always buy your ticket online ahead of time to make sure you will have a seat when you get there

Knowing WDW execs as I (unfortunately) do, I am quite sure Pirates will be in soft openings well before the 7th. I wouldn't be surprised to see it open in the next 72 hours. I know there's no way Weiss, Cockerell and Holmes will leave it closed over the July 4th holiday weekend.

According to a certain Disney website (who's admin's name is Steve), the soft-opening date might be July 1st (with Cast previews on the 29th). Personally, I can see the movie any time. I'll definitely see the ride first before the movie.

I don't know, I want to go to the ride premier but I just don't think I will have the time or money, not to mention the fact that the park is going to be slam packed for July 4th weekend!

I would love to go the parks and see the movie on the same day, but I don't know if I would be able to deal with the crowds. I'll probably try and see the movie at least opening night.

Well my tickets are booked for July 6 (we get it a day earlier in the UK for some reason) but its kinda expensive to fly over to Florida just to ride the attraction on the same day.

I would attempt to go to AMC and then head on over sometime mid-afternoon. Call me crazy but I have nothing else to do but wait.
