that would be interesting. You float by the steam boat...and there's a person, lounging there, waving as you pass by. It's funny, cause he's not dressed like he's part of the ride....

castaways, haha. Our last trip was the first time I rode Splash Mt. and I did actually realize how easy it would be to hop off the ride...not that I would do that.

He stepped out of the boat onto the side walkway, then fell back into te trough. At least that is how I always took the accident to be.

Hmm.. The only thing that confuses me is where. To be killed just by being hit it would have to be at the bottom of a landing or something like that... unless he fell down the chute or something.

You know the waterfall on your right before the Zip-A-Dee scene? (Assuming we are talking about the same one)...it was around there (where there is a path on your left) that he got spooked when stopped, and hopped out as the logs started going again. He fell and was hit.

My ex-gf worked Splash back in the 90s and during Brazilian tour group season, people hopping off the logs was a daily problem. Boats would back up, some of them would think that's the end of the ride, get off and just start wandering around the attraction.
Warning: Portions of this attraction are intense and may not be appropriate for younger children.

I don't know why I find that so amusing, but picturing it in my head, it's freakin' hysterical!

Hold on, I'll see if I can find a vid somewhere to prove it.
