    Pick and Choose YOUR Adventureland

The scenario: Disney is planning a new park(NOT FOR REAL, DON'T FLIP OUT, ALL RIGHT, I WILL STOP TYPING IN CAPS...now). They are surveying people to find out what attractions should be included in each land.(hopefully if people don't hate this too much, I'll do a poll like this for each land)

When deciding please seriously think about all the rides listed. For the ones listed that have multiple versions (POTC) just think that Disney will create this new version in it's best form; building upon the current best version.(Confused? I'm not surprised!)While I'm talking about POTC, Disney will only build it with the new AA's, cap. jack and all.

EDIT: If you are confused just ask me, hopefully I won't make myself into too big of a butt. Comments are welcomed!

I chose everything except Tiki Room and Swiss Family Treehouse. No reason in particular; just personal preference.

For the most part mine were chosen either because they were classics (POTC) or really pull in the crowds (IJA). I chose Adventure Isle because it helps set/reinforce Adventureland's mystique. Aladdin's carpets were chosen just because it helps with Dumbo's demand. I didn't choose Tiki room because, as much as I love the original and FL's version, it is a less visited and less popular attraction. I think Disney should keep the tiki rooms it has and call it good at that. I love Tiki but it just doesn't belong in another AL.

I would put my reasons but you summed it up perfectly for me.

Although I think they should scrap Tiki and put in a themed bird santuary, then at least you would feel like your in an adventure and a land. LOL

Uh, Pirates should be in New Orleans Square.

Also, add the Tahitian Terrace to my Adventureland.

Re: Pick and Choose YOUR Adventureland

Why can't New Orleans Square be in Adventureland? That seems to work just fine out in Tokyo.

But I don't believe the Magic Carpets need to be there... I'd tear the eyesore down myself. It just isn't themed correctly to fit in with the surrounding area. Nor is that Caribbean fort. I'd do a Pirates more based on the tropical islands, and I'd have both Indy rides, the Jolly Roger Pirate Ship and Skull Rock from Paris, and add in some Aladdin themed dark ride. The Tiki Room and the Treehouse are good too!

Re: Pick and Choose YOUR Adventureland

Treehouse, Jungle Cruise, Indy, coaster, Tiki, Theater in the Wild, Adventure Isle, & Tahitan Terrace.

Some people would be interested in a Jungle Book (ride an elephant) & Lion King (fly on Rafiki) darkride.

I never really felt Aladdin fits in Adventureland. But I would definately have a magic carpet dark ride (either Aquatopia tech with motion simulators or overhead track with motion simulators).

EDIT: I would probably design the land so the main path can (SEMI) CIRCLE around the Jungle Cruise so it's not so cowarded like in DL.

Also in light of my decision to perhaps place Haunted Mansion in Frontierland, I would put POTC in Adventureland, but in a more jungle like environment similar to DLP.

I dunno...I mean weren't the real life pirates of history in the carribean? And New Orleans was a large port back then wasnt' it? I think POTC belongs in New Orleans Square just the way it is. It would be totally out of place in Adventureland in my opinion. When I think of Adventureland, I think of far away lands (Asia, Africa, South American, etc.) not pirates....

Re: Pick and Choose YOUR Adventureland

^ I know. It felt weird to me on my first trip to WDW to have to ride Pirates in Adventureland... but it works to an extent with the jungle enviroment/atmosphere/facade/queue...

Also, WDW's MK was not meant to have pirates anyway. Instead it was supposed to be Western River Expedition. So they kinda had to put POTC in Adventureland cause WDW's MK didn't have a NOS. HM went to Liberty Square...
