    McDonalds?

With a 7 month old and free parking at each park we decided it was easier to drive to the parks rather then trying to put down a big stroller and squish into a packed bus.

After our first day we noticed McDonalds had a restaurant right on our way out of our resort (Movies) So every day so not wanting to spend a small fortune on breakfast we decided to have Mickey D's then head off to whatever park we were going to.

The next time we go down well will be choosing another resort and were wondering if MD's is near other hotels or is that the only one in Disney that is not in a park?

You mean the one in Downtown Disney? That's the only on-property one I know of. FTY... Earl of Sandwich also serves breakfast.

No - This one was right outside the All Star resort gates. On the right hand side.

You can see it if you are driving to Animal Kingdom.

The McDonald's near the All-Star Resorts and at Downtown Disney are the only ones on WDW property.

Right. It's the big freestanding one on property that's near All Stars and Blizzard Beach. Don't know how else to describe it's location. I've always found it a bit hard to find when I'm looking for it. It's like near a road exchange that's not used too much, if I recall. I usually just run into it at some point going from Epcot to Animal Kingdom, or driving to/from Coronado Springs hotel.

But to answer your question...no...I don't believe there are any others on property other than the modified (and more expensive) ones inside the Parks, and the one already mentioned above.

I remember when that McDonalds first opened, a lot of Cast Members and management nicknamed it the McDonalds Puerto Rico, because apparently they were having such a hard time finding staff to work there, that they eventually applied for and got some sort of special "Block" Work Visa to hire a bunch of folks from Puerto Rico to come and work it. Don't know if that's still the case, but when it first opened I can tell you they did have many, many wonderful young and old employees at that McDonalds that were fresh from Puerto Rico.

Oh. I've never been to the All-Star resorts or AK. So this is news to me.

I used to eat at Crossroads, near Downtown Disney and the hotels - it's across the street from Disney Property. Lots of cheap dining options and easy to get to.

I've seen it from the bus once or twice.

    Isn't Restaurantosaurus also a McDs?

I believe the closest location to that Mcdonald's is Blizzard Beach. And Restaurantosaurus is sponsored by Mcdonald's, as is all of Dinoland, and a few fry places in MK (Frontierland and Fantasyland,) but the only freestanding ones are in DTD and the one by BB.

It must have been someplace other than Puerto Rico. Puerto Rican's are US citizens, and do not need a visa to work in Florida.

The first McDonald's ON WDW property opened in 1988 at the Crossroads of Lake Buena Vista. That complex sat on Disney-owned land until the late 90s when Disney sold it.

The only two today are indeed the one on Buena Vista Drive just before the All Star Sports and the one in DD, which at one time served very bad pizza too.
