WDW & Nick Hotel Trip Report and pictures Updated with WDW portion

We left last Thursday Aug 10, great day to fly NOT! We got lucky and were warned ahead of time to remove all liquids from our carry on bags and stow them in our checked luggage so we were able to do that. Security took FOREVER but we got through. We were only running about 15 minutes behind when we took off Excuse some of my pictures, my cell camera was wonky

When we got to MCO this was waiting for us

My boys and little brother(ages 7, almost 12 and 15) were sooooooo excited! We checked into Nick Hotel with no hassle whatsoever and were given a Spongebob Room.




The grownup bedroom was decent sized, with a locking door and there was a family room area with sofabed for my brother and a nice sized bathroom. LOTS of storage.
Our room was facing the Oasis pool, the smaller one, and the loudness factor I'd read about didn't affect us at all. We played at both pools, the boys loved the slides
especially the big ones

We ate at the Nicktoons Cafe that night it was eh. The boys dug the arcade. There was also face painting, hair wraps and balloon stands in the "mall"

Friday we spent some time at the pools, then went to the Premium Outlets and had lunch at Hooters(for the 15 year old ) the outlets were GREAT and I did a GOOD amount of damage at Dooney & Bourke AND Coach On Friday night they had a HUGE inflatable movie screen at the pool so that the kids could watch movies while they were in the water!

Saturday, we ate at the other buffet, eh, nothing to write home about. Then we took a car over to WDW. We played Mini Golf at Fantasia Golf(so much FUN!!!! This was one of our best days. We visited the Dolphin took a boat around the BeachClub/yacht club/boardwalk and then decided on a Surrey Bike ride around the Boardwalk, we were laughing so hard we couldn't pedal! We went over to WCC and had the best lunch there. Our server Wendi was in character and so great! The boys did pony rides, the big boys(my brother and husband) got HUGE jugs of soda. The food was good too . We explored Wilderness Lodge for awhile and got a car back to Nick Hotel. Swam some more and then went to the Nick Studio show, it was cute! My oldest got picked to go on stage and was soooo stoked!


We had a nice stay at Nick Hotel, but I don't think I could handle more that 4 nights The housekeeping was great, the pools were fun. They also have a basketball court with many different heights on the hoops, outdoor pool table and a tiny minigolf course. But it got way too packed and rowdy Saturday/Saturday night. Their bus schedule to WDW is also severely limited.

Checkout was super easy, bell services got us a car and we were off to Coronado Springs!

Where'd you get that picture of ya'll in the cartoon monorail?? I LOVE that!!! I want one. My mother would freak out...I think the monorail is her favorite thing at Disney. HAha

It was in the imagination creation section at the end of the Figment ride in Epcot. They had all kinds of backgrounds to choose from. I just loved that one

aw..it WOULD be Epcot...my parents aren't going with us there. Phooey. It's adorable though. How'd you like the Nick hotel? We were thinking of staying a nite there...but, it's SO pricey!

It wasn't bad at all. The boys absolutely loved it. I thought we'd hate it but I wouldn't do more than a couple of nights. And Saturday night, forget it. I don't know what it was but it was bad that not, horrible crowd, rowdy kids running amuck(hehe I like that word) just a general feeling of ickiness. The first two nights were fine though.
