i go to WDW every year- at least once. I have to- I go to withdrawals. I have problems. I am an addict.
But, I also go somewhere else very year. I spend all my hard earned money vacation- it is what I love to do

    Re: Missing WDW

I've been to WDW every year for the last six years, always in October.

Unfortunately or fortunately however you look at it, we've already booked up for October 2007 - Isla Margherita, apparently a tropical paradise down by Venezuela in the Caribbean. But I know I'll miss my Disney fix (it's coming up to a year since I was last in a Disney park and I'm really missing it quite bad) so I think we are going to Disneyland Paris for a weekend at Christmas. And of course there's Disneyland in California in 2008... might not be at WDW for a long while.

    Re: Missing WDW

I am widely known as "Disney Crazy" to most of the people that know me so I don't take it personally. I just look at it as some place I enjoy going on a regular basis and it gives me great family time. Nothing better for me than seeing my daughter smile, except maybe when Mickey is making her do it.

    Re: Missing WDW

When I was in my 20's my boyfriend and I would go down for the day all the time. My father said to me once why don't you just move there! Little did he know we had already decided to! We lived in Orlando for about 1 1/2 years and I'm still not tired of it. I too am considered Disney Crazy by most people who know me, Summer. We go about 4-5 times a year but no more day trips with 2 small children though. We stay no less than 3 days now. And I don't care what others think...life is too short to not do what you want to do just because someone else thinks it's nuts.

    Re: Missing WDW

In 1996 when DH and I were getting married, we decided to go to WDW for our honeymoon. Several people made comments like- You're going there for your honeymoon???? or Why on earth would you go to a kids place for your honeymoon....

Well, just so you know, those people have appologized to us since because they have now been to WDW and are "DISNEY CRAZY" as well

Speedy, that would be "Isla Margarita". Sorry to hear you may not be coming this october at all, but fear not. There is nothing new happening in Oct this year that you havenot seen before. Except for maybe that new coaster in DAK.. But my immediate pressing concern is... when are we going to have our dinner together?!?!?

    You misinterpreted.

October 2006 is still on, I'll be in Florida in 17 days.

    October 2007 - Venezuela.

I'll email you about the dinner.

Casey's ah yes ... home of the best hot dogs ... in the MK!

I do show my face from time to time ... I try not to scare any young children at the time.

I don't know when you guys are getting together.

I will be at/around WDW from Oct. 15-21, so drop me a PM if you'd like to meet up with another oldtimer who'll tell you how much better WDW was many moons ago ... I think I made Mikey a convert as he seems less caustic than prior to our July meeting .

    Re: Missing WDW

I personally would like to see Speedway eating a hotdog from Casey's Corner, since he does such a visual spectacle of sucking on a Dole Whip...
