Does anybody know the dress code for dinner at California Grill?
Thanks
From the Website:
We are going to the CG on our upcoming trip. I plan on just wearing black capris and nice cotton shirt. My fiance will wear jeans and a polo.
Dress Attire is Business Casual
Men: Dress slacks, jeans, trousers, or dress shorts, short or long-sleeved shirt with a collar required. Jackets are optional.
Ladies: Jeans, skirts, or dress shorts with blouse or sweater, or a dress required.
Not permitted in dining room: tank tops, swimming suits or swim suit cover ups, t-shirts, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing of any kind.
what about flip flops?
Don't know, the site didn't say anything about that. I am planning on wearing my mary jane Crocs and my fiance will wear his regular crocs...so I would think if those were okay that flip flops should be.
When are you going? I will be there early October and will be able to tell you for sure afterwards.
we have reservations for the 4th of October...we leave in 2 weeks!!!
I've been there twice. Both times there a mixture of dressing styles. There were people dressed in collared shirts, skirts, and khakis ... but there were also people just in from the parks with shorts and t-shirts.
I think you could get away with flip flops.
Heh, our ressies are for the 3rd! I guess I couldn't help you out much then since I won't have internet access until the 9th!![]()
We leave on the 28th? You too? Because we are exactly two weeks away as well.
Thanks IndianaJenn for the more knowledgeable confirmation that flip flops should be okay.
We went in Feb and it was divine! While casual is okay, this is a resturaunt that deserves dressing for. Axe the flipflops and go with some nice flats. Make is special even for no reason!
If you can be there when the sun sets over the lagoon you're in for a treat. It's a lovely view.

I miss the good old "Top of the World" experience... dinner and the "Broadway at the Top" show. Those were the days of swine and dine at the Top.
California Grill ain't a flip-flops kind of place.
If you're going out to a fine restaurant for a great meal, you should dress accordingly. Although I've never seen anyone thrown out no matter their attire because Disney just doesn't ... give a damn.
Guests are suppose to dress accordingly - but you may be surprised at what you see!
Did you dine there this week, Dan?
They recently switched exec chefs ...
Yes, I did. Still the same great beef tenderloin, still the same incredible sushi. Trip report to follow in the next week or so.
