Somebody wake me when they finally put something good there.
I just priced air, Pop Century, and rental car for a 4 nights/5 days in early December and it came to $1000 for 2. I wonder how many would laugh at me if they knew I spent a grand just to say goodbye to an aging 80's Pavilion at Disney with no food service or gift shop left, and one ride that makes me nauseous...things that make you go Hmmmm
I can't wait. I'll be there for MouseFest and this is a big bonus!

Hey, check out my podcast!

I am not sure that I would count on these dates if I were you. A warning to those of you planning vacations: I think they only opened for about two weeks last year (12/18-1/5) and I am pretty sure that it was NOT opened when the tell-a-cast said it would be. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, since it is not on the map the place is pretty empty. I took one ride on Body Wars with only three people in the (star-tours-sized) cab during Christmas week last year.
I didn't say a word.
Its open now.I went last night...and had fun. So did other Disney fans...vacationers seemed a bit confused however.
Ah, excellent! I definitely gotta take a trip Friday or Saturday!
Huzzah! I love Body Wars - just because it's Tim Matheson and Elizabeth Shue! I hope somebody can get some pix or video, though, as I won't be able to get to FL for another couple of years, and I'm sure it will breathe its last by then... *snif*

Mom told me no video.... I said maybe![]()
I love all things Disney, but this is THE one place in Epcot that needs to stay dead, WDI could do so much cool stuff with this area by putting something new in its place but no lets use it for four weeks out of the year that sounds like a great idea.
Visited there today... It was my first time
Did Body Wars, Cranium Command, and The Making of Me. Had to say that Body Wars was quite the dissapointment, it really wasn't that great of a simulator. The buildup and the fact that it was a "probe" was kind of creepy. Star Tours will be a lot more exciting from now on. Also all that action for a sliver! In the future we will be sending miniturized people into bodies to take care of slivers of all things! Makes no sense at all![]()
The Making of Me was something that I had been warned about, but it ended up really not being all that bad. Now it really wasn't all that great, the animation that they used to show a certain scene was crazy in a "I can't believe that's Disney" way and I'll never look at Martin Short in the same way again, but it's still something that I'm glad I got to see.
Cranium Command I ended up liking a lot, it may actually be one of my favorite attractions at Epcot. Now it isn't the greatest attraction by any means, but it's cute. The animation is kind of crazy, but how many Disney attractions can say that they feature Hans and Franz from SNL and a Jon Lovitz who seemed to be acting as though he's on certain substances at times, with this entire story taking place within the brain of a teenage boy. The main character was cute and I also loved the Hippocampus with it's deadpan humor.
So, yeah, I had a good time, they aren't the best attractions but I feel glad and fortunate that I got to see them before their certain demise.

Hello EveryoneGo Zags!
This pavilion bugs me to no end. It's not good, so make something good! We have a huge pavilion that opens for 5 weeks a year?? How nuts is that. I generally don't agree with Lutz's version of WDW, but this particular spot is neglected.

I went through Wonders of Life last night and thought it was fantastic. I only remember it from when I was a kid and we went through it 10+ years ago when I was little. I really enjoyed the "edutainment" aspect of it, as how EPCOT is supposed to be. I would hate for them to tear this down and replace it with another big ride, instead they should just renovate everything.
Cranium Command is amazing, one of my favorites at Epcot now...
body wars was always the worst of the motion sims in Florida.
