Well, i'm going into obnoxious technicalities here. The real Everest is in Asia. So the fake Everest is going in the Asia part of Animal Kingdom. Animals? i guess the Yeti works.Originally Posted by Evan-500
Anyone know how big the Yeti is going to be?

Huge from what I hear, big enough for a 60 foot long train too see him!Originally Posted by Pizzapants
Just for clarification, Animals is not the whole theme to Animal Kingdom, it's also about conservation and the symbolic relationship between humans and nature. I can't explain it now, but on the wdwmagic site there is a link to an interview with Joe Rhode about the myth and legend of the Yeti and how it ties in with conservation.
...a vaguely celtic music fills the air...
I guess this is a good exchange for the cancelled dragon plans they had when the park opened. I guess this just makes my Animal Kingdom merchandise more valuble!
I'm just waiting for someone to snap a pic of the Yeti. I bet it will scare the bejeezus out of everyone.

Lemme dig it up.
Screw IOA.
Overrated.
The Dueling Dragons coaster at IOA that Labuda was talking about was designed by ex-WDI folks, who had planned a similar attraction (Dragon's Tower) for a section of DAK on mythical animals (Beastly Kingdome) that was never built. One of the reasons it wasn't was because IOA built the similar attraction.
As to IOA being overrated, that's subjective. Some folks think today's WDW parks are overrated too. I always enjoy my times at WDW and IOA!
