    Snowing in Orlando tonight

    http://www.wftv.com/weather/10373307/detail.html

Snow flurries were reported in Seminole, Orange, and Volusia Counties Tuesday night. We even saw some snow at Channel 9's Orlando studios.

The last time it snowed in Central Florida was reportedly January 24, 2003. Before that, it hadn't snowed since 1989.

A blast of cold air is moving into the state this week, state emergency officials said.

Wind chills may drop into the 20s in parts of north Florida and high temperatures may only reach the 60s as far south as the Keys on Wednesday, state meteorologist Ben Nelson said.

I wouldn't be surprised, it had definitely felt cold enough... has made working an outdoor attraction very hard.
Have the wind chills been really getting that low? It's felt cold, but I just thought that I had completely aclimated to the Florida clilmate.

ORGOCH: Yup, it sure was a snowin' last night--whilst me 'n my two looney sisters was flyin' over Orlando. First I thought my dandruff was just actin' up agin--'til I saw the ice cycle formin' on sister, Orddu's, big ol' nose.

ORWEN: It sure was a sight! I mean, we didn't expect anything like that! Snow in Florida??? I guess if we wanna' keep warm, we'll have to fly all the way to California to the REAL sunshine state.

ORDDU: Which is exactly what we're getting ready to do. We should be in Anaheim by 4 pm this afternoon--California time. Just have to check out all the Christmas festivities at Disneyland.

ORWEN: Then we'll fly back to Florida a few days later and compare everything to what Walt Disney World has to offer.

    ORDDU: Happy Thanksgiving, ducklings!!!

    Re: Snowing in Orlando tonight

Okay...it was cold last night but it was not the 20s and I was in both Downtown Orlando and WDW last night/early this AM and I saw no flurries and not even clouds in the sky.

Snow flurries were reported...yikes. Honestly...I doubt there was any real snow these Floridians just start halucinating after it drops below 60 so I bet they all just saw this in thier mind.

I won't belive this. It hasn't even snowed in New England yet, and Florida is getting it? Ha!

    Re: Snowing in Orlando tonight

The Tampa stations had a hayday with that.. lol showing footage from there sister station in orlando every weather break.. lol

Fox 13 said it was snowing because the atmosphere was below freezing even though the ground was around 40 - 60...

sadly the gulf made the atmosphere around Tampa to warm for snow if any rain was gonna fall...

dont you love freak Lows in the Atlantic that dump rain all over the Carolinas and make some snow in florida...

Yes it is, and the weather patterns are changing due to Global warming. It was in the 70s in Tokyo this past week... I am used to colder climate there this time of the year.
