Does anyone know the average cost of Fireworks?

Does anyone know the average cost for all 3 Firework shows at WDW each night.
I know that the exact number is not to be disclosed but maybe someone has a bit of insight to this number. I have a rough estimate of between $80,000- $100,000 per 3 shows per night.
    RoE- $37,000
    Wishes- $35,00
    Fantasmic(partial Fireworks show)- $10,000

Re: Does anyone know the average cost of Fireworks?

Sorry to revive an old thread.
Anyway, according to Lou Mongello, TWDC spent $500,000 for pyrotechnic devices alone on the first ever public performance of RoE on new years eve 1999. Of course, the new years tag uses just about half the amount of devices used for the regular RoE in less than 1/3 of the time.

He also mentions that RoE currently costs $35,000 to perform counting devices alone.
Of course, this source has not been evaluated by Disney and the Pyrotechnicians over at WDE will not disclose a general number but this is the best that I could do.

Closer to $80,000 when the projections on the Castle were still in effect.
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

Re: Does anyone know the average cost of Fireworks?

i have been told by a WDI that seems to know bout fireworks that the following are relativey accurate:
    Illuminations: $200,000
    Wishes: $140,000
    Fantasmic: $15,000
    Magic and Mayhem: $280,000

i know that they use Grucci brother fireworks that are individually set-up with small computer detination chips....very pricy. The whole system is very costly and needs maintnance often....so the fireworks cost skyrockets (pardon the pun) ;-)

Considering that this person may lose their position if they disclosed this amount, I doubt that it is valid.
Another thing is that the devices used in Wishes are made in China and the U.S. RoE's devices are made in China, Italy and the U.S. Considering this, Grucci does not produce all if any of Disney's fireworks.

After reviewing some price range statistics, I found that a world class public show produced by Grucci would cost no less than $75,000. DIsney is the largest consumer of fireworks in the world and they certainly get a large discount. I still think that my estimated prices are a bit low but only the WDE firework buyers know the real price.

I know for a fact Illuminations doesn't cost that much a night. Nor does Wishes. Those numbers are way too high.

Is the cost of Fantasmic including the wages of the paid actors?

i didnt say i believed the guy lol....i thought the numbers were a bit high...too high to be covered by park admission prices...

i think YOUR estimtes are rather accurate...perhaps a tiny bit low, but closer than those of the WDI.

I would think that the salaries of actors would pale in comparison to the cost of the fireworks.
