With the new "Toy Story Mania" coming to DMS, the park will finally get a new ride. Of course, the studios is in need of some help so, what else does the studios need? Please explain your choice(s), I'd love to hear your thoughts/opinions.
Personally, I think basically all of the shows need to be replaced. They're all outdated. As far as replacing rides, I'm mainly thinking about Star Tours, for obvious reasons, and slight revisions to the GMR. From the GMR I would remove & replace the tarzan scene, the opening scene, the zombie/skeleton scene, and the Fantasia scene. I would probably revise the Alien and and the Indiana Jones scenes to better reflect those movies. The backlot tour needs to be completely removed and its space needs to be used for expansion. I think they could re-do/keep Catastrophe Canyon (turn it into a ride a la Earthquake) and tack onto it the Armageddon show from paris, and a new water effects stage, and you've got a solid C or D-ticket SFX show. My final ride idea might be a little weird but, what the heck. I think that they should add on to the exit of RNRC and have an AA Aerosmith Concert going on. I know that seems dumbe but, if they could relocate the shop/ride photos and have an actual concert when you exit, it would only help to enhance/strengthen the story line. Of course people go to RNRC for the thrills & music, but, strengthening the story will help it to be more "disney-quality" and separate it from Six Flags/Cedar Fair.
With This park's slant towards live entertainment, I think the shows needs to be replaced on a 2-5 year rotation. Heck, with more popular shows like B&TB, they could save the sets, costumes, etc. and bring back the show every couple of years.
