    Carousel Of Progress question.

Are there certain times of year they do not have this ride operational?

I have heard during off seasons (if there is such thing as a slow down period.) I know this sounds crazy, but I would be thrilled to see this attraction. I realize it is a bit dated, but it was one of Walt's projects. And I don't want to miss it.

Many Banthams could die if I don't acquire this information.

Or should I check the site?

It has run at park hours ever since Timekeeper went down (info courtesy of BPF). Meaning anytime the park is open it should be, EXCEPT for any hard-ticket events, in which case it is always closed.

What should I look for that are hard ticket events?

Anything that you have to buy a special ticket for. The Halloween, Christmas, and Princess and Pirates parties are about it.

It seems to open late sometimes, not too late, maybe a hour or so after park opening. My oldest kid loves that ride - 3 or 4 times in one day is normal when were are in MK.

There is no way that they could close this ride down. It is one of the originals from the World's Fair. It would be like tearing down "It's A Small World".

I wouldnt mind another update for the final year though.

I think they'd have a riot on their hands if they ever took this away! I feel it IS a historical landmark due to it's signifigance of being from a World's Fair. If it isn't it should be. I too love this attraction but haven't been in it in years since my kids won't sit still long enough for it...

I feel like I should remind you all, that the original Carousel of Progress was Walt's favorite attraction.

Wasn't the Carousel of Progress at Disneyland the one that was at the worlds fair, and the one at WDW a copy of it? Or did they move it from DL to WDW when DL put in America Sings?

As far as I'm concerned, they've already taken it away.......and now we're stuck with Innoventions.

It was moved from DL to WDW when they put in America Sings. I have been missing it ever since.
