Best place to view the fireworks?

Just wondering where the best place to stand or sit to see the fireworks in MK and Epcot.

Can you sit on the train platform at MK or is that just for VIP's or wheelchair only?
do you get a good view from behind the castle or is mainstreet the best place to be?
at Epcot - is there a bad place? i'm guessing if you are right in front or right behind the line of floats in the lake you get the best view but of you are on the side - say around Canada or America do you still get a good view?

to me the best place to watch wishes is the train platform cause you can see everything eventhough tinkerbelle is a bit small. as far as illuminations, my preference is somewhere along the lagoon on the futureworld side but that's just my preference.

Wishes- Where the tables and seats are infront of The Plaza.
Certainly do not be behind the castle and defianately nowhere near its vicinty since it tends to get loud and you may get debris falling on your head.

IllumiNations- At the top of the incline in World Showcase Plaza. Preferably infront of the fake planters. You can see very clearly above everyone's heads.

For Wishes, we just grab a spot somewhere near where MS meets the hub.

For Illuminations, just make sure you are either water side or can see over those in front of you, and that you don't have trees blocking your view of the lagoon. Also, and perhaps most importantly, make sure you are not downwind.

Wishes - As said, try to get a spot on the Hub or up at the Train Station.

Illuminations - I like grabbing a table at the Cantina de San Angel in Mexico, so I can enjoy a churro and watch Illuminations.

For Wishes, the Astro Orbiter platform for sure. You just have to time it so you're up there when they start... or become a CM.

Be also ready to get your spot at the train station about 2 hours before the fireworks. People claim that spot so quickly, you have to be majorily early.

I personally enjoy anywhere in Central plaza, or Carnation plaza gardens.

Don't be behind the castle for wishes.. its a novelty once.. but don't do it to see the show. Be up front towards MS side of the hub if you can. Normally you can scope a spot along the fences/bridge leading to TL too. A lot of this depends on your crowd level and how far ahead you are willing to get a spot.

In Epcot, just make sure you have a clear view of the water and as few a trees as possible.

I like the bridges over towards Italy

Wishes- If you can try to get a reservation for California Grill(its in the contemporary resort) an hour before the fireworks. Then when the show starts go to the windows and watch it from there. To me this is the best spot.

Illuminations- I like the Rose and Crown. Just like the above get a reservation an hour before it starts. Illuminations is my favorite.

For Wishes: I usually grab a spot near the hub on Main Street for Spectro, then just pivot (and sometimes move up a little) to get a dead on view of the castle for Wishes (which usually involves a 20 min wait after Spectro.)

For Illuminations: I usually like to get a spot near Future World.

I worked at Epcot for 3 years. Watch the fireworks from Japan on the promenade or up on the Mistukoshis balcony or the viewing area over the small bridge infront of Italy if it is not reserved for a private function. Usually much less crowded then The merchandise towers area at front of Showcase or Rose and Crown. Pay attention if its a breezy day, find a place so the wind is to your back when viewing so the smoke goes away from you and doesnt obstruct the show or get in your face.
