Was it not once shadier by the dole whip window?

I was in Adventureland on 3/7/07 and decided to get a Dole whip. While in line, I couldn't help but notice I was being baked by the sun. This seem to jar a memory of a shadier time in that same spot. Didn't there used to be a big tree there? Anybody know...or have an old photo????

I get the feeling you like trees.

Isn't that WDW MK hub beautiful? An island? With those (sadly now gone) trees? (thanks ABC Television).

Sorry don't know the answer to your question, but had to chime in about trees.

Yes...it is cool that it is an island. I think it is unique (the only one), right? The hub is a scorcher now, however. I miss my twinkly big trees and planter benches!!! Shade is your friend in Florida.

We need more trees in the parks. Forget about the fireworks, we need more trees! Shade and beauty beats firework viewing areas in my book anyday. You can find a different place to watch the fireworks.

Yes it's the only hub that is an island, and the concept of the hub as an island is one of the great things about the MK design wise.
