What was that Robin Williams show at MGM Studios?

Hey guys, I need your help. I can't for the life of me remember what the animated attraction was called at MGM Studios that had Robin Williams and Walter Kronkite. Perhaps you all who frequent this area can help me out.

I know that film was heavily influenced by Peter Pan so I wanted to add it to my list of Disney attractions that were inspired by animated films.

It was the "Art of Animation" tour, as far as I can remember.

"She's so bright! Just like being in the presence of Barbra Streisand!"

It was in the Magic of Disney Animation building. I think it was called "Off to Neverland" or something like that.

The name of the attraction was "The Magic of Disney Animation."

At the beginning of the tour, you watched a movie entitled, "Back to Neverland."

During the tour, various clips with Robin would explain each animation department.

A few years later, the tour was updated with the construction of a larger animation building. As a result, the film was edited to show the updated animation process. The tour itself was reversed, and the monitors above the animators were removed.

Later on, Disney fired all the animators and replaced the thing with an interactive area, and got rid of the Back to Neverland movie in favor of Drawn to Animation.

Robin Williams is my favorite actor. I was sad to see him cut out of the the "Art of Animation" attraction. Well frankly, I am sad that they screwed with that whole attraction. I miss the old way they did it.

It was also shown here at DCA for a while, which was great at the end where he tell Walter he will catch up with him later in the tour and ours was not a tour. Also a bit of trivia, the out fit the Genie has on at the end of Aladdin was based off of the outfit Robin wore at the start of Back To Neverland.

I remember watching that at California Adventure, it was an ok film.

It was a fun little movie, that turned Robin into
one of the Lost Boys. It would be great if
Disney would place some of these yesterland
film shorts on dvd.

"Back To Neverland" was a film that Disney contracted out to BRC...an extremely fine company we've worked with before.

As fantastic a job as they did with it...it was always kinda funny to me that this film about Disney animation...was not animated by Disney!

It could been just the live action parts not the animation. Any way, it is no big deal. Disney had outsourced in the past. Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas was done by Blur Animation. www.blur.com

Now...that's not to say that BRC didn't use some then current of ex Disney animators.
