As discussed in Mansion Refurb Confirmed and Haunted Mansion refurb to disappoint this refurb will be more technical and basic than the ones we've recently seen at Disneyland. We'll have to wait and see how this really pays out - money v. time.

I'll take something at Doombuggies as more truthful than something Screamscape reports on. They are wrong on a LOT of things. (like HHN at USF for example....every-year...)

Hopefully three months will be the time allowance needed to refurbish the sets, the ride system and make other technical reparations. I'm still hoping that we hear an unexpected announcement one day about a budget increase for bigger changes.

One would hope that Doombuggies HM info. is more reliable than Screamsape's. After all, the Haunted Mansions are their focus. Don't sell Lance Harte short, though. Most of his rumors prove to be true...completely or in part...and it's a fun site. Part of what I like about Lance is that he is niether a whiner nor a know-it-all.

They seem to be taking all this money away from refurbishment. I know, it went to the new soaps and shampoo! LOL JK

The image of a crystal ball flying thru the air would be quite trippy!

I've always thought the attic scene was cheesy and compared to DL's, it really looks amateurish.

I also would believe this is the first significant rehab for Mansion since the early 90s.

Too bad they took so much $$$ away ...
Agreed. The attick scene really lowers the spirits (pun intended). It is in dire need of an overhall.

Just to make sure there's no misunderstanding: Nothing's official until it's official, and there could be substance to the Screamscape report, but it goes against other reports from equally credible sources. There is still time for them to drastically curtail what they had originally planned, but at this point I for one would be surprised. It would be so stupid to shut down for that long and not take that opportunity to bring the WDW HM up to par with its DL counterpart.

That makes me sad. It has to be when we're going on our trip doesn't it?
That's the way the ball bounces, I guess.
