Pepper Market or Cantina de San Angel?

Which one do you think has better mexican food?

The Pepper Market has good food, but I wouldn't call it authentic Mexican - it's more Tex-Mex. While I haven't eaten at the Cantina, just looking at the offerings leads me to believe that it would be the more authentic of the two.

Totally agree here! I have eaten from the Cantina twice and really enjoyed it. Really big burrito with fresh ingredients! My husband and I usually get our food from here and then walk to the America pavillion to get our girl's food and sit in there. They don't like Mexican food.

If it's not 100 degrees outside, I'm all for the Cantina. I've always enjoyed the food I've eaten there. I've eaten at the Pepper Market once - it was okay, but unless I'm staying at CSR, I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

I've eaten at the Cantina a couple times. I love the burritos!

Neither do our kids so that is why we were thinking pepper market. I can't imagine going to WDW and not having Mexican food for 9 days.

I am not familar with the pepper market, but I would not exactly call the Cantina authentic Mexican either. It's not Taco Bell but its not chicken mole and posole either.

I prefer dining with Figment in the basement of the Institute!

Re: Pepper Market or Cantina de San Angel?

I wasn't impressed with the Pepper Market at during our stay at CSR last summer, I felt it was very bland.

People that dine in basements often seem to end up on the evening news.

Just ask Jeffrey Dahmer.

Re: Pepper Market or Cantina de San Angel?

Not when your basement has a McDonald's inside!

The Imagination Institute is loosely based on the design of the Field Museum in Chicago, therefore we have a McDonald's in our basement. Go figure that one out. Now Figment, give me that fry. (We have wireless down here too.)
