Besides House of Mouse, which isn't what they are from originally, I want to know what the Japanese truly know these characters from.
Such as Marie, do they love her because she is a big, white, pretty, furry kitty cat and something just clicks and they fall head over heels for her, like they have. Or is it because they actually have a good sense of familiarity from The Aristocats, and that is where their love really comes from for her?

I'm guessing it's case by case like any country. If you are asking if kids in Japan today have access to the Disney films old and new, they do, either through Disney channel or DVD. My husband is from Tokyo and he grew up with the Disney movies and I imagine today with the success of TDR the children have even more exposure to Disney then his generation did.

But certainly the characters being cute does help.

Why do you avoid Pirates? lol It is because, it is the cliff notes version.

She doesn't like the new upgrades, adding the movie characters. Right, Piglet?

Actually the "small world mexico" scene IS/MUST be there in some form. HOW? Because i went into AA Costuming and they were working on Grand Fiesta costumes and the sup. shows me a girls dress that could ONLY fit on a Small World size doll.

To enhance the "fiesta" tone of the attraction, banners and flags are hung everywhere, and makes for a much more festive entrance. When you go to board the boats, you'll notice that air gates have been installed.

UGH! Why do they keep adding banners and flags all over the place in rides now?? it makes the whole thing look garish and messy. They did the same thing with the new monsters inc ride and a couple other I cant remember. Banners everywhere look cheap.

Is WDW Hotel Shorts the channel that plays in the lobby of all the resorts? Can you access it from your room?

Yes you can. I remember finding it in August, when I was last there. It's really high up on the channels though.
