The 4 in 1 sneak attack on WDW... What's next?

My good friend Donavon is in town for... you guessed it... 1 day and 1 day only. Its his first trip to Lake Buena Vista and we gotta get it all done in a single day. Its my job to make sure he gets the best look of WDW from a one day visit. It may be his only visit here ever so were gonna hit up all 4 parks. Yikes!

Its gonna be a long day and were jumping in feet first early in the morning.

Advice? Well wishes? Comments? Concerns? Prayers...

I'd hit Animal kingdom in the morning for everest, dinosaur, magic kingdom for most of your time in the main part of the day, mgm studios in the mid afternoon for tower rock'n'rollercoaster and anything you can fit, and epcot in the evening for some rides, dinner, and illuminations.

Nice! Good luck with this WRDUp! Some classmates where there over spring break and they did this:

    - DAK: Everest, Safari, Dino
    - Studios: Tower, Coaster
    - MK: Some attractions, but mainly FPs
    - Epcot: Some attractions and then ROE
    - MK: Use those FPs and watch Wishes/Spectro and more attractions

So... yea. If that even helps any ?

Isn't his name spelled Donovan?? Anyways... GOOD LUCK! The parks are crowded this week.. if you get to hit at least two main rides per park... you are in good shape. The problem of doing this is in the logistics of it. Like using Disney's own transport, versus your own car to drive your friend around. Start early and take, DAK, then MGM, then MK, then Epcot, then return to MK for the final hours in the evening, when it's more magical. Isn't the Mk closing at 11pm or midnight?

I agree with BigPiglet Fan (and TDLFAN). The Magic Kingdom should be open really late and if you time it right (during the parades and fireworks) you should be about to get a number of rides in.

I would say at least walk around the World Showcase. Even if you don't go in any of the countries I think they are a must see!

Do all of your own driving. When you are at MK you can take the monorail to Epcot and back again.

    Have fun!

Re: The 4 in 1 sneak attack on WDW... What's next?

First of all, have a great time and enjoy that park hopping! LOL

    Here's what I would do:

    1. Animal Kingdom, early in the morning, hit Everest, then Safari.
    2. Head over to MGM Studios and hit Tower , RnRc and one ride that you want to see...pick one. LOL

Here you have a choice, if you want to see RoE or Wishes determines which park you hit next. It should be around noon or early afternoon depending on the crowd levels and the day you go after you finish 1 and 2. Either way, I would do the following below in either order..

    3. Epcot - Get FP for Soarin, head over and do Mission Space and Test Track. If this is the end of the evening park, you might be able to squeeze in one more smaller attraction..

    End the evening watching RoE.

    4. Magic Kingdom - To me, Magic Kingdom is probably the best park that the FP works really well because while you get a FP (no scowling TDLFan) you can wait in line somewhere else and after one or two other attractions the FP is usually ready. So pick one ride you really want to go on with a FP, then do a few other attractions you want to hit, then come back and do the FP.

End the evening watching the fireworks.

Re: The 4 in 1 sneak attack on WDW... What's next?

So heres how it went down (a little un-orthadox)...

I had a learning event to go to this morning at the Wedding Pavilion so at 9am I dropped my friend Donavon off at MK and I headed over to the Grand Floridian.

All by himself, in the wee early hours of the morning he got done...

    Magic Kingdom...
    1) Space Mountain
    2) Big Thunder Mountain
    3) Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
    4) Monorail

Right after that we hit up Disney's Animal Kingdom
    1) Expedition: Everest
    2) Pangani Exploration Trail
    3) Restaurantasoraus - Double Cheese Burger, Fries & a Coke.

We then headed over to Disney MGM Studios and got done...
    1) Rock 'n Roller Coaster
    2) Tower of Terror
    3) Chronicles of Narnia Walk-thru
    4) Streets of America
    5) Pizza Planet - Cheese Pizza, a Chocolate Chip Cookie, a Coke and Water

We hurried to EPCOT next but started to feel the heat and were tiring out.
    1) Spaceship Earth
    2) The Seas with Nemo and Friends
    3) Club Cool
    4) World Showcase (Canada, UK, France, Morracco, Japan, USA, Germany)
    5) Mitsukoshi Sushi for dinner (it was excellent by the way)
    6) IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

Volcano sushi... If you havent had it you are missing out big-time.

So it wasnt a perfect day but it was a good start and leaves plenty for him to return to see. Hopefully I can get pictures up soon. And thanks for your advice and well wishes. Above all we had a blast.

go on saturday when the park is opened till late, but leave Magic Kingdom for last! Make sure to get there by 8am. I would do it in this order:
Animal Kingdom, Epcot, MGM, Magic Kingdom

Hmmm.....I think I would just skip the Studios. I believe it's the weakest WDW park. I would go to MK first early in the morning while lines are still short, then head to AK. Or perhaps, vice versa, since it's more comfortable to be at AK when it's cooler. Then, go to Epcot in the evening, since it's more about the experience and less about the rides.
