I heard about this some time ago, the CMs say it's going to open March 31st. There will also be a new entrance for Fastpass that leads all the way up to the pre-show, as opposed to the current, outside merge point. The single riders will go into studio C through that ramp above the regular entrance and exit through their own door from there straight across to the Load platform. There may also be automatic doors between the 3 lines and the preshow load.
Best hold on to Your Hats and Glasses, 'cause this heres the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness!
Sorry I'm in the I love Single rider option group Flynn. My wife and daughter will not (or can not till she gets taller in the case of my daughter) go on some rides. I find the single riders move though faster than the group standby lines, so less time for them to wait or worse spend a lot of money in the nearby shops without my input...
I was there last week when they were still redesigning the line for single riders and the fast pass line. The lines will now meet in front of the entrance for the preshow. The outside queue was still blocked off, same for partially inside. The line was moving very well actually, just people were freaked out to see the people lining up in front of the building. The single riders line now will get more people on the ride. They should do this also with many other rides. Unfortunately, Space Mountain would be a difficult one to do. They just need to start using the rest of the queue inside of space mountain like the old days.
I can understand folks not liking Fastpass and its effects on the standby line. But theoretically, and in practice, the single rider line does not effect the standby line at all. Just like someone had posted just earlier, the single rider line should be able to quicken the standby line by removing single guests from that line. It's really a win-win situation.
I just can't see how there can be any haters, this system works well for everybody.
