yeah Disney is deffinatly trying to go with the cheep film technologies and projections

they need to realize that both have their places

projections don't do that great in replacing robots but they're great if you want to do something almost impossible physical or want to create an expansive enviornment

I'd love to see a scene from any of th James Bond movies. I'm a huge 007 fan so that would totally make me giddy.

I don't like the somewhat demise of AA lately. I've been fascinated with (and creeped otu a bit by) those things for as long as I can remember. It's what makes the Disney parks so unique compared to any other amusement park.

Without knowing specifics, it was always said that the overall agreement with MGM included EVERYTHING BUT Bond. I'm not sure if that was a money issue, or a more personal issue with the Broccolis. Or both.

i think that we should all remember that this is a ride that many consider to be untouchable like its a small world (no matter how much we try to get rid of it ) and POTC if this ride were to vanish then the key ride in the MGM studios will be gone.

and it has a historical animatronics figure in it... the wiked witch of the west figure in the OZ scene was the first free moving animatronics figure ever created... that would be like closing the tiki room in DL or the matterhorn at DL... they just cant do it without a lot of complaints about the ride being gone

take away some scenes, add a starwars scene (maybe a scene from Roger Rabbit) and i will be happy
