Re: Double the Illuminations, Double the Fun!

I will be there both nights for the extra Illuminations this week and next week, they will be on Tuesday and Thursday due to the change in EMH. I just hope it doesnt cause the guests to make too much of a mess, I will be there until 1 am working, so if anyone will be there, be on your best behavior.

Hopefully this works good in April and it stays on. We were hoping to see Illuminations twice when we are there in May and we'll miss it the first night because we have 'Ohana reservations at 740. But an 1130 show would be good!!!

Re: Double the Illuminations, Double the Fun!

This news was posted on anotherdisneyplace a few days ago.

I wonder whose idea this is. Brad Rex isn't know for spending that kind of money.

I also notice that EMH's at Epcot don't seem (sadly) to attract as many folks as at the other parks and WS often is dead by 10:15-10:30. I'm wondering if this might be a way to get the bodies off Soarin, Test Track and SSE and instead eating and drinking and shopping in the WS!

I think that's exactly what it is. When we were there for Epcot EMH WS was DEAD, but the lines in Future World were the longest we saw them all week.

This is not a joke since this information was released on March 29.

I know that about 350 gallons of LP are used during each show. Since the day I heard about the added shows, I have been trying to research the capacity of the barge. So far, based on memory, I think that the capacity is 400 gallons which means that the crew would have to take the barge in to the bay for re-fueling while the rest of the show is loaded out on the lagoon.
The capacity of the Inferno Barge is not public information. I'm sure you can understand why. Sorry.

    So, back on the topic:

Will the boat tours run during both showings of Illuminations?

You mean the private cruises? That is a good question. I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that. I'd assume no, but I can't be sure.

Yes the private cruises. They are quite lucrative, always selling out at the 180-day-before date, even with perputal price increases.

Hoop-dee-doo.... what fun is there to be had if the second show will only be available to EMH guests on property? Personally, I think it's a stupid idea but that's just me.

Yeah, but then you'd also have to keep the lifeguards staffed till midnight or even later... not sure that it would really pay.
