I just rode _____ for the first time!

Here's a new idea... Whether you are a seasoned vet or a WDW virgin Im sure there are some attractions out there you haven't experienced. This thread is for everyone and anyone who dared to try something new during their last trip to WDW.

Tell us what you did and what you thought. Why haven't you done it before now? Would you do it again?

Of course there's more to WDW than just the theme park attractions so even if you went para-sailing on Bay Lake, chartered the "Grand 1", snoozed in Cinderella's Castle, or experienced any of the other exciting or less known adventures WDW has to offer stop by this thread and let us know!

The reason for all this is that while Im here on my internship my girlfriend and I decided to ride every attraction, see every show and eat at every restaurant. Undoubtedly we've been experiencing a lot of new things!

Check back from time-to-time to see what we (and others) have been up to.

I always try to do something I've never done before when I go to WDW.

Next month I'll be doing my 1st ever official on-property stay. Been visiting the parks since 1978 and have never done this before... go fig.

    Good thread idea.

The last time I went was in 2004, and I went on Mission Space for the first time.

Boy, did I get and felt like the rest of the day. So I will never go on the full spin version again. I will try the newer green team in 3 weeks when I go back.

And I can also say this will be my first Expedition Everest, so I am really looking forward to that. Other firsts this visit will be dinner at Ohana, Keys to the Kingdom tour, and Stitch's Great Escape, which I realize I haven't missed much, but it has been in refurb every time we have gone in the past.

I just saw playhouse disney for the first time today. it was a great interactive show, I can see why BigPigletFan (BPF) likes the attraction so much.

Re: I just rode _____ for the first time!

    Sunday 1st of April, 2007

After a good (well-deserved) night of sleep Kim and I made an unscheduled stop to EPCOT. In an effort to accomplish "everything" we decided to do a few new things.

New things done for the first time...
San Angel Cantina (Plato del Nino & a Wet Burrito)
    Reflections of China
    Journey into Imagination
    ImageWorks

There seems to be a cult like following of Figment. This fascination drove us to the attraction and I must say it wasn't everything I had hoped it would be. Perhaps, sadly, Figment was victim to "hype" but I just wasn't feeling it. It should also be noted that I never experienced the first or second incarnation of this attraction which seems to make a difference to others' infatuation of it. ImageWorks seems to be a sad byproduct of Journey.

Reflections of China on the other hand I thought was terrific and Ill prob visit it again (for anyone who cares the Lotus Blossom Cafe has re-opened and smells delicious).

After we left EPCOT Kim was treated to
    Cast Connection &
    Property Control
    for the first time!

and we did all this before she had to be to work at Team Mickeys. Overall it was a successful day.

Yeah, the first version was definitely the best. We still have our stuffed Figments from 1984 visit!!

I love those places Cast Connection more than Property Control, I won't divulge what they are tho.

Re: I just rode _____ for the first time!

We went to Epcot 2 weeks ago and I rode several things for the first time.

The Nemo ride was new since I was last there and I thought it was wonderful, my only complaints were that it was too short and that there wasn't enough tank time.

We experienced Turtle Talk and thought it was wonderful although the new loading room, while much better than the old mess is still bad. The show was wonderfully cute however.

Living with the land without the guides was better than our last few experiences with the awful guides we had but wasn't nearly as good as it once was with good guides back in the day.

I finally rode Mission Space, well the green version at least. I refuse to ride the Orange version. I was very impressed. I didn't think it would be that good without the spinning but I thought it was great. Now that they offer the non spinning version I could see at least that version being exported out to other parks.

Test Track was finally open. It had been closed my previous two visits and after all the hype I was let down. I discovered after I rode that the on car effects weren't working at all on my ride so maybe it would have been better with that. Without them working it was just a quiet and boring ride until the speed portion which did feel much much faster than 60 mph.

I went on Expedition Everest for the first time in December and LOVED it. I'm usually chicken for roller coasters, but I found the nerve to go on it and it was so amazing. I can't wait to go on it again.

I always try to do something new or different at WDW, especially since we don't go all that often.

I went to MGM Disney Studios last week for the first time. Rode Rockin Roller Coaster - LOVED IT!
I can't wait to take my son sometime soon.
Also, loved the TOT better than the CA version.
