I couldnt hear the original song, from what I saw on the video...The Three Caballeros theme is playing all the way through....I dont think the River of Time theme would fit anyway...but you never know. Someone who rode the ride in person could say better then me.

I've only ridden "el Rio" once, and that was back in 1999. I wasn't too impressed with it. After watching the video, I'd say it's a vast improvement. It looks like a lot of fun.

Looks good to me! Although, I will miss the highyly stereotypical salespeople peddling their goods!

El Rio Del Tiempo - "River of Time" is a far more exciting name and concept that captures the imagination much more than "Gran Fiesta Tour with the Three Caballeros". Blah.

I've been to EPCOT only twice and both times, Rio Del Tiempo was closed. What goes on behind those screens in the previous version?

It looks fun but I think it's too much Donald.

Pretty much a little history of Mexico, starting with the Aztec indians and their way of life, then it progressed into pretty much a bunch of tourism stuff showcasing things you can do like cliff diving, snorkeling... then there was a scene where these 3 stereotypical Mexican shopkeepers tried to sell you everything they had.

The new version makes me crave margaritas and nachos. LOL!

Yup. Only been on it once. Wasn't too impressed as well. I liked the music okay. Didn't seem too repeatable. But Gran Fiesta looks fun.

My fist trip to WDW, I just got a new camcorder, so I wasn't very experienced yet with my camera skills. So I only took snippets of the ride. If I could turn back time, I'd record the whole ride. Oh well. Live and learn. No, scratch that. KEEP MOVING FORWARD! LOL

well it would be hard to be any WORSE then the original. By-far the worst attraction in EPCOT previously.

I'm curious to see how their current projection tech 'blends' with the sets. Its too hard to tell with the cameras because of how the camera deals with light.

Looks like no one tackled this one with a 20ft pole, so I'll take care of it.

It's a small ride. It's not hugely advertised, it was given 3 months of work, and was never ment to be on the same league as any of the other big rides with AAs.

I know, instead of making assumptions based on a video of a ride, lets start pointing out the REAL bad things at WDW, such as lack of direction, focus, and overall lazyness of the management at WDW. Those are the real problems, not some fanboy's wet dream of AAs in every ride.
...a vaguely celtic music fills the air...

The videos have my hooked on riding this. I must.
I am glad they have the theme of TTC, possibly the most catchy and upbeat songs other than "I Want To Be Like You".

    Great stuff.
