DYK...To keep the 200 or so props in the Haunted Mansion looking untouched and dusty, Disney buys large quantities of 5 pound bags of theatrical dust, known as "Fuller's Earth" to decorate with. It is long been rumored that enough dust has been used since the attraction's opening in 1971 to bury the Mansion completely!

I agree thank you BDK this is a great thread and thanks for the HM one "I did not know that"!

DYK: The largest planed "hidden Mickey" was done at Disney-MGM and up until a few years ago was only missing part of his ear. It was the courtyard of The Great Movie Ride as the face, the small lake as one ear, and some buildings (that were torn down to make way for Sunset Blvd.) as his other ear. If you have a map (pre Big hat days) and you turn it upside down you can see the face still.

    Another for you.

When you visit the American Adventure at EPCOT you might find it interesting to know that all the sets and animatronics are stored under the auditorium and slide forward to the stage area as they are required.

these are great.. DYK that you actually saw big red dead... (or so i hear) during Cast previews they got a negative reaction and decided to go the "bambi" route and never see big red.... just to make you presume....

I knew abut the large hidden mickey.. learned it from a Christmas parade years ago....

DYK...There is no steel between the front and rear wheels of the ride vehicles in Test Track - the vehicle chassis are made of composite materials (plastic and stuff)

Also DYK...That even though you only see four wheels on TT there is actually 20 wheels on each vehicle!!!!
