Question New "Meet the Robinsons" T-Land

ok....so there is some speculation that they will re-theme Tomorrowland at WDW in the next 5 years to reflect the new smash hit "Meet the Robinsons."

    Now, my question is:

IF this was true, would you be in favor of re-themeing Tomorrowland to look like "Todayland" from the movie??

Absolutely not, let's get them to start fixing the attraction roster to fit the spirit of Tomorrowland before we start worrying about a new theme. If there's one thing I wouldn't fix it's the current theme.

hehe I would hardly call the movie a smash hit

once it hits a billion dollars in worldwide sales, we'll talk about retheming.

heh heh good point....it was a hit nonetheless, but yeah, re-themeing is a pre-mature thought at this point in my opinion...

I think they should leave it alone.

I think they need to get rid of all the Pixar stuff.

Okay, first, how many of you have seen the movie?

Second, there is talk of this actually happening. Meet the Robinsons is an amazing film, and although the theme of Tomorrowland might not be changing, some older areas might be getting a facelift.

The Todayland in the film has Space Mountain and AstroJets, all white circa 1975 MK Tomorrowland.

Where have you read speculation about changing Tomorrowland?

Yes, Tomorrowland should always change. Besides, certain sections could be rethemed as the labs of Robinsons, Inc., fitting into the spirit of "Keep Moving Forward". However, I hope the name doesn't change to "Todayland".

I don't give a darn where he read it. It's true.

Not the entire land though. Just parts.

And it wouldn't be re-themed to Todayland. It would be themed to the future in Meet the Robinsons.

I love the idea! I enjoyed the art direction of MTR immensely. The look and feel of MTR's future is precisely what TL could use. An infusion of bright color and kinetic whimsy. I'm tired of the 'utilitarian kitchen' look of TL. Blech. Enough with the sterile theming already.

Hey you hunky gorgeous man you... we never had Astrojets at the MK. Their name was the StarJets.

Sue me. In 1975 I was four. Forgive my faulty memory!

But the point remains. Todayland in MTR was a fun fly by sight gag featuring an all-white Tomorrowland resembling NASA's Apollo period.

Why should the Imagineers go backward and revisit it? We can go to Tokyo Disneyland for that!
