    WDW on Travel Channel

Not sure who cares, but I'm watching episodes about Disney on the travel channel and noticed they've updated some shows from the last few years. On one they talk about the pirates changes and cinderella's suite. Kinda cool they keep them on notice. I only hope by this time next year they'll be talking about the enhancements to the HM, Spaceship Earth, Space Mountain, The wand going bye-bye, the Mexican Pavillon in World Showcase, and even further in the future, the creation of Beastly Kingdom.

    Of course I care!

I saw the Animal Kingdom one and they had included Everest and Nemo.

^^ Really? The one I saw only a month or two ago was the old one and didn't show either.

While I like the Travel Channel shows, what I dislike about them is that they are not the least objective. Everything through rose tinted glasses. No Stale World here...Tony Baxter says on the show about MGM, that it is the best theming ever...or something like that...and talks about DCA as though it were some kind of wonderful...etc

makes you wonder if Disney pays Travel Channel to keep everything rosy pink or if they simply threaten to deny access unless they get final approval on the show.

MGM is wonderfully themed and is in my opinion the best theming in the parks. There's not much there behind it but it is a beautiful park. It's like having a beautiful wedding cake made out of 3 week old and stale cake.

I think they have a special deal with Travel/Discovery Channel. They had a big multi-channel promotional tie-in with EE last April.
Also the same company handles all of the tv shows. That is why they all look kind of a like and it is easy to add new segments.

The shows that I really like are the Modern Marvels ones. Tey are really in-depth and give a lot of information that the Travel Channels shows do not include. The Travel Channel shows are more for tourists planning a vacation or to refresh a returner's memory. The Discovery and History Channel shows are more for experienced fans like us.

    Re: WDW on Travel Channel

Anybody notice who does the narration on the Travel Channel shows? Patrick Labyorteaux, the guy who played Lt. Commander Bud Roberts on JAG! I first saw his name in the credits after watching many of these shows and I thought NO, that couldn't be the same guy. But once you know who it is, you can hear it in his voice. He never talked that clearly on JAG, but he does a nice job for the TC.
