What is your favorite "oddball" attraction NEAR WDW

There are enough things to do in WDW to keep one busy for 10 vacations, but what else do you guys like to do in the Orlando area?

Obviously there is Sea World and Universal, but what are some of the less well known attractions that you like to visit?

I like to check out Ripley's Believe it or Not every few years. In fact, I start to miss International Drive if I don't cruise it on a trip.

I also like to hit Winn Dixie and Waffle House (we don't have 'em in New Jersey) and a souvenir shop or two.

Nothing beats bringing a gator head home in your suitcase.

So what about you? What do you like to see?

Wonderworks is pretty cool, the building itself is worth a visit just to see the outside.

It's closed now, but I had always wanted to visit Skull Kingdom. Loved the exterior, although I had heard the attraction itself had severely deteriorated in its last years.

I had always been curious about that "Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine" that's listed in the far off corner of WDW property maps, until I found out it was just a Catholic Church. Still, it's a place I've wanted to stop by, just to say I have seen the "Queen of the Universe", and that she was at WDW.

I did finally get to see the Peabody Ducks on my last trip, and that was a hoot. I love me some ducks.

Ducks are my favorite also. Especially good when the skin is nice and crunchy!!

never really bothered with those. I think the only I've ever done is Ripley's Believe it or Not. I think it used to be in the same Wonderworks upside down building.

We were getting drunk at some bar at the plaza thing next to Wonderworks.. good thing I saw that building on our way TO the bar.. would have probably wigged me out pretty bad on the way back out if I hadn't

I love "oddball" attractions!!!
The more obscure the better!!
Ripley's is a lot of fun and so is Gatorland.

I loved The Guinness Experience Live. It was right in front of the Mercado. It had exhibits like Ripley's. An "elevator" that would show you different record breakers-my favorite was when the doors open and there were doctors pulling out the world's largest tumor! And it also had a simmulator ride. I think the place lasted for a year. For a while it was Hard Rock Experience and now it is home to the Titanic exhibit.

I also loved looking through FAO Schwartz.

I love talking about all of the fun weird attractions but it also makes me sad that a lot of them are not around anymore.

Hmm... I like Chick-Fil-A! And some other dining locations that we don't have very much of up here. I mean, Chick-Fil-A might not be much of an attraction to you... but it's one that'll get me off of property! Especially when it's that or McD's!

lets see... I always have to hit up I-Drive when I am there... Magical Midway has the best go-carts. Its like 2 levels and you can fly down a nice hill... It also has a huge slingshot there as well... Its near Wet & Wild up there...



Another thing I like is Wonderworks. I to like the building from the outside...



Inside is ok, nothing to special about it.

I also like old Town, it has some cool things in there. I always always have to hit a Shoney's for their breakfast Buffet, because its the best, and we dont have any here in Staten Island.

Old Town is great! It has a tacky wax museum that is a must see!!

I have gone to the Festival Bay Mall every year since it opened 3 years ago. I also like Fun Spot. Magical Midway is a great place and is directly adjacent to where I stay most of the time, The Enclave.
As for dining, Texas de Brazil is a must for me.

They have a building like that, upside-down in the Wisconsin Dells too. Crazy silly.
